I think you are the first that ever asked about this!
When in the proper frame of mind (rare these days),
the process is:
- several ideas or images have occurred
- If I can find the piece, I excerpt them individually
from some of my picture/phototography
archive... if not, I can with a lot of effort draw or shape something
from scratch...
- I warp, filter, and texture the pieces either before, or
after they are assembled til they are complementing each other
somehow... sort of nti-collage...
- I work with some texture for a background,
tweaking that til its at a certain stage...
(several versions occur, or work fairly well,
its shard to know how any version will be received)...
I experiment with the arrangement of the layers
in PS...
That's the process in a nutshell... all the while, I'm
in a frame of mind that's trying to create some
unified whole...
