Great that you are/were so enthusiastic. As to sharpness, I try my best. I still find though that the DOF is a problem with my Nikkor 18-200 lense at times. I now try to fix that by going to very high ISO values, as I hate to carry a tripod around. If anything destroys my creativety, it is a tripod!
