how can i stare at this for so long, eyes never losing interest, mind never quite settling on one impression, mood never seeming to decide how to feel...

this is compelling. striking. provoking. simple. complex. emotive.

and i love the sub-text you wrote in the comments.

hands down, +fav.

I do it in different ways, some too hard to write out.. lol so the easy version..

you stick magazine/whatever down with PVA, putting glue on both sides of the areas you want to stay on the paper, you wait till it's just dried then start tearing away at the edges, if it works the areas you glued on both sides to the paper should stay and create different textures and colours made by the layers in the magazine ripped away.

but even if it doesn't work you can keep and re-use some areas youve ripped away, alot of my stuff is made with bits I've ripped off old collages/scraps.

hope that helped.
