Description
This is a quick drawing for Ribbons for Jen [link]is donating a dollar to cancer research for every entry made and many of the prizes also support cancer research. This drawing appears to be mostly aimed at breast cancer, but that's simply because I am terrible at drawing males and the drawing had to have the male cropped out >.>
I think most of us have lost someone we've cared about to cancer of one type or another in our lives...and every dollar towards research helps. As a microbiologist I'm aware of just how much it costs (financially) and as a friend who's lost I know how devastating this disease is.
I'm not one to believe in a magical cure for cancer all of the sudden, but faster detection and better treatments (that don't involve pumping poison into your veins) are certainly a real possibility and being worked on right now.
If anyone reading this has some time every dollar does help
The pose is based on Natalie Portman from V for Vendetta (you can find it on google) Drawn in mechanical pencil on a sketch pad; pink added and drawing cropped in photoshop. I did not spend a lot of time adding details and perfecting it because this is not a drawing i want to drive myself to hate by getting frustrated over small things.

Even the littlest contribution is something, that is very true. You contribute more than you know. Bless you and thank you. Strangers are just friends that haven't met
