You were so proud, Jareth. But the right one will bring you to your knees.Like a mystery of Harris Burdick, I'm going to leave the story up to you.
Like a million years ago, when I was coming up on 500,000 pageviews, I took a poll to see which fandom I should service for my thank-you drawing. Labyrinth won out, which was kind of a surprise. I started this one but just couldn't make it work. I kept picking it up and tossing it aside for months. Well, I recently hit 600K, so I thought I should get off my can and finish this. And you know, it turned out really nicely, I think. I'm really satisfied with it. One of those rare examples of something turning out exactly the way I saw it in my head.
God, I miss the snow.

You always do different pieces, but very reflective. Almost like they're made of magnet. They pull you in.

I love this.. I love the delicacy of the pencil work here. You have done a wonderful job recapturing their features and the atmosphere is lovely. I like the implied story without actually telling us anything.

As always, completely blown away by this. I can barely understand how you made Jareth's hair look like that with the use of negative space in the first panel, but I can definitely say I'm impressed. And somehow you showed how the cold would bring out Sarah's cheeks even more, and the faces are so recognizable. Is it possible to die of squee?

Hee hee. ^_^ You know what, that negative-space effect was borne of laziness. I just thought, Eh, I'll fill it in later, but then decided it actually looking pretty good!
I used to do a lot of drawings where I'd loosely circle the blush on someone's cheeks and nose, but I got a lot of comments like "that's distracting and unattractive", so I caved and quit. But FUCK it! I love it.

you capture expressions so well. your hand is gentle where the strokes need to be and firm in others, conveying emotion so subtly.
