Description
Sarah's prize: the head of the beggar bird, which Jareth disguised himself as in the Labyrinth tunnels.I loved that vulture-headed costume, and I love the idea of Sarah flaunting her victory with spoils, something that belonged to the King.
I hate working with dark colors and severe shadows, and I'm still not very good at it, so I thought I'd practice. Dark fabric is way less of a brainache than light. I don't even know if that makes sense, but oh, it's true.
I realized too late that the little skull pinned to the hat is a tiny humanlike skull and not a rodent's. Even creepier! A faerie skull? A tiny goblin?
It's only a costume, just rags and bones, but what's Jareth's is Jareth's. No doubt he'll make it a mission to get it back and teach her a little lesson...

Ha, you ought to draw a picture of them wearing each other's outfits. Perhaps then Sarah will discover the truth about the bulge. Is it real? Or is it a CUP!? Ahaha

I've thought before that I'd really love to draw Sarah wearing -- and this is a total clashing of worlds -- one of David Bowie's outfits, circa 1983. One of his suits with the good ties, the matching fedora, the suspenders. I think a woman in a man's suit is really unbelievably sexy.
Sarah in Jareth's outfit, though...? I think those leggings are more revealing than anything she'd ever worn in her life. ;D

It's great :3 the hand is shaded a little strangely, but the shadows on her face are very nice and the vulture part is also awesome. I love that little line in her lips that make them look extra full and her expression is priceless :3 nicely done...I miss Bowie though ;___; haha.

Dude, I fucked up on her lip as I was coloring in the black background. Just a smidge got onto her lip and I cursed the skies, but God bless those markers, it blended right out.
I have major trouble shading hands because there are so many moving parts, right? I think I basically got it right, but like, the back of her hand should be in the light and her fingers should be in darker shadow. NEXT time.
I know, I was sort of tempted to have Jareth looming behind her, but that would have ruined the story.

I love how she looks all happy in this, but still full of longing. *sigh* I bet it smells like him, too... Poor Sarah. Left with a memory of him, but no way to contact him anymore. Or does she???
