Description
Woody wasn't smiling when I drew this, but it sort of became necessary. Nothing's so bad that a sweet dog nearby can't make it a little better.I'm pretty proud of how all this color turned out. I don't do a lot of complicated lighting (not that this is exactly complicated, but it is for me), and when I do it right it sure feels good. The wave cup is from an old drawing of mine, and I recycle that pattern a lot.
I have a great dog, a Shar-pei named Oscar. He's a total meatloaf, and he's got these big, sad eyes, but he really smiles when he's happy. He and I have had a weird relationship. I'm not a dog person, but I am, at least, an Oscar person. He knows when I'm sad and he plops down next to me. I feel like he knows he can't do much, but at least he can share in my blues. I bet Slinky's like that. They've been through a lot together, those two.

This picture is just so darn cute and full of emotion. I swear, animals are the perfect medication to the heart.
I've never had the pleasure of owning a dog, my family has always been cat people. But even cats with their superiority complex know when you cuddle up to you when you need love. My old cat used to nip me softly when I cried, like I was her kitten. It freaked me out the first time, but then afterwards I thought it was sweet.
Gah I love animals... ~

I am definitely a cat person. That's the cutest thing I've ever heard, that your cat would nip at you! Mine do, but only when they really like the way I pet them. One of them, little cross-eyed Tricky, loves towels for some reason. Drop a towel on top of her and she is stone in heaven.

I used to have a poodle, but she died last year. I cried so much for days! her name was Mila and we had her for seven years. I loved her so much, she was so smart.. she used to sleep on my bed in the last years, wich made me feel so special and I swear that after her death I sometimes felt like she was sleeping on my bed. she will be always in my heart.
But I have a golden retriever named Nessie (the name came up because of the monster of loch ness), for three years. Mila had always been the princess of the house, so when Nessie came to our house Mila wasn't very happy, she hated her actually, cause she was a threat. Nessie just wanted to play around with her, but Mila always refused, she was so jealous. They couldn't even be in the same room. I always thought that one day these two lovely dogs could get along with each other, but Mila died before that
Anyways, Nessie is a lazy and happy dog. She has those big sad eyes that make my heart melting. She's so cute and she loves to be "holding hands" with us and to put her head in our laps.
By the way, i love your picture. Dogs are definitely the men's best friend and I love them.
P.S.: sorry about my english

I'm the smallest of my family and the generation gap is immense , yo era niña my brothers were teenagers, and i spent much time alone.
My dog Oddie was the best friend and brother I could ask, when I sat alone on the sidewalk of my house he barked to me for out to play, and if I met some stranger in my adventures, he always defended to mi, with the man and beast.
If i wept he never left my side, and If I laughed on celebrating with me
I really liked your picture, I was powerfully reminded of my old friend who is no longer among the living. I think Woody actually have that kind of relationship with Slinky

Yeah! My last dog, Nerino...he was a cutiepie, a bit stupid, but I loved him anyway Now, at the time I bought mangas - yeah, yeah, I used to be an heretic
- and one day I bought #4 of the Angel Sanctuary series... put it in my bag, let mom bring me home, and when I was in my room, the comic wasn't there anymore. I thought I lost it...but the next morning, while I was in our garden, I found it on the bench, with a slight teethmark on the cover. I still have that volume.

This is such a brilliant picture. It's great to see your interpretation of what the toys would get up to if they could, but it's also really nice to get back to the original sometimes. Slinky looks like such a lovely dog here and the cup with the waves is brilliant, really great job.
I don't have any dog stories, I've never had a dog. But after a few years of having our cat, me and my mum noticed that whenever we were having our time of the month she would come curl up on our tummies acting as a hot water bottle. I'm stumped as to how she knew this is what would make us feel better, I really am. The rest of the time she just cries for tuna fish And she's always there for a cuddle when we got a cold or something. I really missed her when I got Glandular Fever at university this year. Only had a bag of apples for comfort and I wanted my lovely kitty

I feel like the original settings are so complex and lovely that I can't take them on most of the time. I get inspired by this great illustrated book -- the Toy Story Storybook Collection -- which has really gorgeous drawings set mostly in Andy's room. It made me want to try this kind of lighting.
Your cat is amazing! I think animals, especially our cats, have a weird sixth sense. They know when strange stuff is going on, and they can tell if something's wrong with you. I love that she would do that for you.

The two dogs I grew up with, loved them a ton, they're gone now of course, passed away from old age at least, no medical problems in their lifetimes. In 2006 I moved to California to live with my boyfriend, but my two dogs stayed at home with my mom. I had always wanted to pay Colorado a visit again, just to see my dogs first and family second, family wasn't that great, but my dogs were, so after learning they died before I ever got to see them again, it hurt. I was also a bit angry at my mom that she was the one who made me have to leave in the first place.. it just makes me very sad to think of the last time my dogs back home saw me, that it was really their last time seeing me and I them, it really hurts.
But here at my new home we have a small army of chihuahuas, and they're fantastic. I know people think 'ew chihuahua' cause they think of little rat-like dogs, but ours are mutts, not insanely small, and some of them have long gorgeous fur, each with their own unique personalities. Sadly one of these dogs went missing May 31st and we never saw him again, which was also a huge hurt because I REALLY loved that dog, he slept with me in the same manner that my smallest dog back in Colorado would, in my arm throughout the night, just when I thought I'd never have a dog like that again. Life goes on though, I'm still happy with the rest of our dogs here, one of them is a complete little momma's boy and loves me more than anything, and I spoil him rotten. I am definitely a pet person, I like cats and dogs both, but dogs are just more fun.

I'm really sorry to hear about one of your little guys missing. Don't give up hope -- my sister's snotty indoor cat went missing for six months and came back. I was positive she'd never make it out there, but she was totally fine. And you know, I was never crazy about chihuahuas, but my husband's family has the best bunch of them I've ever seen. They're all kind of roly-poly and mellow, and I love how they nose their way under blankets and pillows.

Ah I forget to mention we live in a small horrible town where people will kidnap your animal if they like/want it and the people here also amuse themselves by animal abuse, we rescued an abused kitten not too long ago, nursed him back to health, and we're probably gonna keep him. Plus the dog that went missing, he had suddenly developed really bad seizures, and we struggle financially month to month, no money for the vet. I had made and put up missing dog posters, and called the nearest animal places, but they hadn't seen him, so I feel it's safe to assume he might've passed away by now. A friend suggested maybe he left cause he knew he was going to die soon, which I can somewhat believe, because he was extremely well behaved and never even tried to run out the front door if it was left open.
Is nosing around a chihuahua thing then? our dogs always love to nose their way under the blanket, and sometimes end up getting themselves stuck under the bedsheet too somehow, it's so funny. Or a dog will be walking on the blanket then the blanket will growl cause there's another dog under there being stepped on, they are very entertaining dogs. My spoiled momma's boy is actually quite unique in the fact that I have never seen/met a more vocal dog, he wails and cries a lot, the noises he makes are actually quite funny, so I'm happy he is who he is.

I have a golden labrador called Ashia who doesn't have a bad bone in her body. She chased deer when she was younger and despite being rocket-ship-quick could never quite catch them. Once she managed to outrun one with a bad leg and just kind of carried on running alongside it, not quite knowing what to do next. I'm at university now so I don't see her outside the holidays and I always wonder if she misses me anymore when I'm gone.
