I've never liked the tale about the little girl and the big bad wolf... may be because I love wolves .... so this is MY vision of Red...the wolf is actually a werewolf and he has lost his beloved one and soaked in grief , he spend to much time in his wolf form and began to loose his mind and ... his humanity. So when he met Red , almost crazy out of sorrow , he attack her and bit her by the leg...than a little piece of his humanity woke up and he let her go....10 years later they met...Red banished away , because of the werewolf powers and he - wondering around the world unwanted and unloved. And their story began....
so this is 20 years later...still together... wandering around the world unwanted and unloved, not a wolf and not a human either...

You know in the Charles Perrault version of this story the wolf isn't killed and there is no woodcutter to save the little red riding hood and her grandmother

I like it that the Red Riding Hood is not blonde as she always seems to be in drawings, movies, and books. The gleam in both hers and the wolf's eyes is a wonderful decision. This is one original version of these two characters. Lovely!
