NOTE
This is a SMALL tutorial/ walk through for "1.18.08"

I didn't think that people would really like the painting that much and I didn't keep a lot of the work as I went to make a good tutorial. I put this together just to show where I started and finished.

I am still learning so I don't feel that I can really teach anyone anything yet...or explain how I do different things. It is just the idea and I hope it can help. *^_^* Really sorry again if it does not help at all, just some friends wanted to see a little something

I forgot to put in there that I used only the three brushes for this painting. I am still learning. In time I will use more and understand more about them.

Thank you all again

I have a question. Is the smudge tool the only tool you use to blend colours together?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LindaLisa In reply to imaginary-ang3l [2011-07-10 03:59:18 +0000 UTC]

No, not really. It can be a great help to move things where you want them. It takes a few tries to get it right. I really try not to use the smudge tool for blending. For the most part looks unnatural if you don't use it right. But if I think the eye lid needs to move down just a little bit more....it can help tons.

I see. So how do you blend the colours so smoothly? I've tried it myself and I feel so hopeless...

Your artwork is absolutely stunning. Everything is so soft, and you would think someone just took a picture of the girl...thank you for putting this on here, you're a great inspiration and very talented.

Thanks a lot for that tutorial, but I still don't understand how you work in Photoshop, do you make your sketch directly in photoshop or do you scan a sketch you make in a pad? and when you apply the colors, it's covering the lineart base, doesn't it? And I'm still puzzled on how you add a background...

phhah. Guess working on a comp isn't much for me, heh.

Still. You have LOTS of talent and I hope the world knows.

sorry i really do fail to see how this was a good tutorial. yes i downloaded a very large and frankly hard to navigate image which contained 4 images from sketch to completed painting/drawing, and there was extreme little instruction apart from you had used a brush for doing the hair.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LindaLisa In reply to nisites [2008-02-07 16:53:31 +0000 UTC]

I am really sorry...I was not planing to make one as I said. I didn't save many files as I went because I really did not plan for anyone to ask for it. I had a few friend that wanted to see so I tried to put together what I had.

I am still learning and this was my 3rd try with a Wacom so I really do not feel I can teach anyone yet lol *^_^* That is why I made it so big so you can see what I see as I painting to see if that could help. When I would look at tutorials that were so clean and zoomed out. I wanted to show that the strokes and how different things look up close so when zoomed out how they all look just fine.

When I have a better understanding I am sure I will make a better one....this is more like a walk through. Sorry again that this did help you sweetie.

Hi

Thank you for your nice reply. It was just a great shame as you clearly have a mass of talent and skill and very frustrating when you get excited thinking that finally a cool tutorial which shows exactly what you want and there is no info on it

If you ever do chose to do another one like this but with some information please keep me informed as I would love to see it.

And sorry if I was a bit harsh in my last post... sorry!

LindaLisa In reply to nisites [2008-02-07 23:53:03 +0000 UTC]

It is no problem hun..I understand *^_^*

I will be sure to let you know when I make one that can help. I really just don't know how to really explain a lot of it...It would be easier if I made a recording lol

This is my 3rd tablet drawing so I am sure I will have a better understanding soon and I really hope I will be able to help you some

Really nice! But you need to include more of the steps and explanations so idiots like me can understand what you did. Seriously, this is very beautiful.
