NOTE
This is a SMALL tutorial/ walk through for "1.18.08"
I didn't think that people would really like the painting that much and I didn't keep a lot of the work as I went to make a good tutorial. I put this together just to show where I started and finished.
I am still learning so I don't feel that I can really teach anyone anything yet...or explain how I do different things. It is just the idea and I hope it can help. *^_^* Really sorry again if it does not help at all, just some friends wanted to see a little something
I forgot to put in there that I used only the three brushes for this painting. I am still learning. In time I will use more and understand more about them.
Thank you all again

This tutorial is so beautiful, thankyou for taking the time to show us your process
I really want to try and do a realistic painting like this and I'll definitely be using the steps in your tutorial as a base to begin!

Only three brushes! Wow! I can't imagine getting such great results with so few tools. Like I said before, LindaLisa, you've got a wonderful talent.

how the hell did you get the hair efect!?!?!?! D:
π: 0 β©: 1
LindaLisa In reply to jaja-Max [2008-02-02 16:25:53 +0000 UTC]
There really is no effect...I just use that one brush on the side and start dark and go lighter. Then for the details I take the Hard round brush and add some loose hairs everywhere. I love doing hair so much not that I have a tablet...it is 1000000x easier! *^_^*

Pretty ironic we made about our best works on the same day, and both making a tutorial out of it
But mine isn't done.. yet
It's currently open in Photoshop ^^
I don't really get how you can make smooth edges on 2 sides of a brush and keep the other 2 hard.
Do I have to configure that with the Tablet configuration program I got when buying the tablet?
The 'en pressure' option doesn't really work I think..
π: 0 β©: 1
LindaLisa In reply to DensetsuShinobi [2008-02-02 13:03:55 +0000 UTC]
I didn't configure my tablet at all. I would not even know what to do
I have to paint over and over and let things happen a lot of the time. Some parts of my picture were happy little things that just happened.
For the brushes and the sides...I really don't know :/ I never thought about it...or I am not sure what your problem is.

Ok, I think it's just me being a noob then
I'll search trough some tutorials and try to find the answer there,
thanks anyway

ok....(blushing)...I did and am even more amazed. How in the hell you drew that is beyond me...lol
I don't think I could ever do anything of that caliber, digitally. i hope this gets a DD!!!!

LindaLisa In reply to Klaber [2008-02-02 13:12:06 +0000 UTC]
You are so amazing...that makes me feel so good *^_^* Thank you
I put all my heart into this picture. It needed to go somewhere. I was broken really bad. Then it is part of my heart that wants to thank all the people that "did" something amazing for me and may have saved my life too. I hurt and I am thankful. It is not the heart of a artist but a heart of a girl that tries to hold on. So it means a lot to me.
As for DD, I don't think I am that good...there are just so may GREAT digital painters on DA. I wish to someday be something like them.
I am just happy that this picture has my heart in it..and people love it this much. I have to stop here before I cry.
