Serizawa gave his life placing the Oxygen Destroyer in the beast's den. He saw the giant figure slowly approaching. The mighty foot of the creature set the device off sending a torrent of bubbles toward the surface.

The creature was caught in the geyser and was brought to the surface. One horrific roar came from the dying creature's throat. And just as quickly as it came, it disappeared under the sea. It sank deep into the floor of its underwater lair. The Great Godzilla was dead, leaving only a heap of bones behind.

...How much of this story is true? Deep sea salvage crew was responsible for 'collecting' the fossil to be studied. However, according to Steve Martin almost 30 years after this event took place..."They Never Found Any Corpse"

This was also true and misleading. The second Godzilla that appeared in the world to battle the mighty Anguirus was indeed the first creature reborn. Using only a fragment of DNA left after the tragic and uncouth death of the Monster King, a miracle of biblical proportions took place. The Monster's Body was regenerating!

Completely everything was reformed! Bone, Organ Tissue, Blood Vessels, Skin, all from one tiny piece of DNA. It seemed as though Godzilla was truly invincible. The full extent of its regenerative properties was awesome! However this event went unnoticed until some time later in 1995 after Godzilla defeated Destroyah. As Shinoda and I have proved, this theory is indeed true.

But when Martin said that they never found the corpse of Godzilla...someone else did.

Back in 1999, the JSDF began working on a secret project in case Godzilla started causing trouble again. Now in 2002, the weapon was ready. Even though G-Force had disbanded, they still had a few weapons lying around in storage. The JSDF made a joint venture with G-Force, creating the Counter Godzilla Task Agency. However, this was done because they really wanted just to get their hands on the scraps of old machinery; Moguera, Mecha Ghidorah and especially Super MechaGodzilla. The old Robot had been collecting dust in the dark for nearly ten years.

It had been long since the incident of '95. Five years later Godzilla Returned coincidentally for the Millennium. He saved mankind form an alien invasion but he was still a force to be dealt with. After Godzilla aided by Rodan succeeded in stomping out the Meganula Threat, the JSDF succeeded in trapping Godzilla in a black hole and sending him into another dimension...But somehow the creature managed to escape a year later.

It was apparent that Godzilla needed to be taken head on again. The JSDF quickly seized the remains of SMG in hopes of rebuilding it. Unfortunately the machine was damaged beyond repair. The internal skeleton from the original Simian design was completely shattered. But the JSDF were not at all worried about this. They invited General Aso – now Prime Minister of Japan - to a special underground water storage facility that they had in secret for a long time. Inside the giant tank, Aso saw a startling sight; the Skeleton of Godzilla!!!

The Japanese Self-Defense Forces got to the bones before anyone else knew about it. For nearly fifty years they kept the skeleton hidden. That is until the time had come once again! This is where the bones finally came into good use. Aso gathered up all the lead scientists of the world. One of them was Dr. Tokumitsu Yuhara – he specialized in genetic computers. He managed to robotically engineer a trilobite with a fossil, a computer and muscle tissues from a Horseshoe Crab. He was the lead scientist designing the computers for MechaGodzilla to use Godzilla’s genetic information. Using the skeletal frame of the original Godzilla, they used it for the internal skeleton of MechaGodzilla. They built the new weapon around the bones. They changed the armor and added more gaps in the plates for flexibility. Adding new weapons to a lighter, faster and more agile MechaGodzilla 3.0 the JSDF succeeded in creating K.I.R.Y.U. the new Ultimate Counter Godzilla weapon. Much faster and more agile than previous MechaGodzillas, this new machine could fight Godzilla hand-to-hand.

This time, the machine was not directly piloted via cockpit inside the head. With the machine’s new speed, the pilots would not be able to withstand the g-forces and would be put at serious risk. It was too dangerous. So instead, they control it via the old G-Grasper Planes. The planes would also be responsible for moving the machine around; the caveat of its new weaponry is that it didn’t have enough fuel storage for flight. It couldn’t move very far with its jets. Though, while this seemed to be a defect, there were plenty of new weapons. Plus they added a new weapon. Remembering that on Solgel Island in the sixties, Godzilla was unable to leave the island due to the snowstorm. The cold completely slowed the cold blooded creature down. Now they had a weapon that implemented such a weakness; the Absolute Zero Cannon. The ray was the strongest in ULT Laser technology. It was powerful enough to completely turn a sky scraper into ice. Then from a light slam of the machine’s flexible tail, the building shattered. They’d blast Godzilla with the cannon, completely freezing him and then Kiryu would destroy him.

Unfortunately had they known about the marvels of Godzilla's genetic abilities to the point of 'Genetic Memory' they would've known that Godzilla had been born once again in perhaps the most interesting way possible.

At the time of the demonstration, Godzilla appeared and was headed for the Nuclear Reactor he was not able to get after he destroyed Megaguirus. But now he was after it to become powerful again. Kiryu was immediately deployed to fight the monster. Godzilla recognized his old metal clone and was unimpressed by its latest software update. Godzilla knew if he had beaten it thrice before, he could do it again. Kiryu fired its missiles at Godzilla. They struck doing barely any damage at all. Only the Hyper Maser fired from the robot’s mouth seemed to affect him.

Godzilla decided to take the fight seriously. He attempted to retreat because he was not powerful enough to stand against the machine as he was now. The humans then attempted to activate Absolute Zero. But before the pilots could activate the Absolute Zero Cannon, Godzilla roared his challenge into the air. Suddenly, Kiryu stopped. Something inside the machine awakened. Like I said before, Godzilla’s DNA was still in the bones. Now the bones had a body and a machine brain. Godzilla’s Roar woke up the spirit inside of MechaGodzilla III. It activated a genetic memory. The screens inside of the Planes’ cockpits showed images of 1954 as seen through Godzilla’s eyes. The bones had a genetic memory! It remembered its old life as Godzilla King of the Monsters.

The humans could no longer control the machine. MechaGodzilla stopped moving. Godzilla took the opportunity to escape into the sea. The planes were preparing the cables to take it back to base when suddenly, Kiryu began moving independently! It raised its arm and fired his laser guns at the planes. They dodged without knowing what happened. They then saw that MechaGodzilla’s normally yellow eyes had become bright red. Then the machine roared, but instead of making the machine roar they programmed into its voice box, the sound that came out of the speakers sounded just like Godzilla’s roar. Kiryu thought it was Godzilla!

Suddenly it raised its arms and fired all of its missiles toward the city. The area around it was destroyed. It was attacking the city. It was ironic; the machine built after careful study of Godzilla, designed to destroy him as well as mankind, now believed that it was Godzilla. Technically it was Godzilla, just in a mechanical body. Now just like Godzilla, there didn’t seem to be any way to stop it now that it had gone berserk. And it was apparent that it had full knowledge of how to use its weaponry. It remembered the Oxygen Destroyer and was attacking the city.

The only thing they could do, was wait until it ran out of power. But it would take a whole hour before that happened. After nearly fifty years, Tokyo was at Godzilla’s Mercy yet again. However, the machine did eventually loose power by the time the sun went down. It stood there in the middle of the city frozen.

Reports of this ran all over the world.

They took the machine back to base to try and repair it. They began trying to figure out what went wrong. Then, Tokumitsu figured it out. The sound of Godzilla’s roar signaled something in MechaGodzilla. His computers were made to read Godzilla’s DNA from the bones to scan the creature for a weakness. If they removed these computers and assemble new ones, then there’d be no more problems. However, he believed that Godzilla would destroy Kiryu.

Kiryu was the original Godzilla; MechaGodzilla was now a living creature. Godzilla was the clone of the original. Now there were two of the same creature running around; similar to Biollante, Godzilla and MechaGodzilla were now the same entity. But now that they removed the machinery that allowed this to happen, it was highly unlikely that the problem would ever happen again.

Godzilla woke up at the bottom of the sea and began moving back toward Tokyo, curious about what had happened to MechaGodzilla. The Naval blockade found Godzilla with its radars and alerted the Japanese. It was headed toward the bay. The JSDF set up the defenses around the bay when Godzilla appeared. They tried to attack him, but he blew up everything. The flames climbed high into the night sky around Tokyo. However, Godzilla surprisingly didn’t go after the Nuclear Reactor. He seemed to be waiting.

The repairs were complete and MechaGodzilla was deployed. It was advised against mobilizing since it had gone wild, but it was inevitable that it was needed. They released the machine in mid air, its own jets and Garuda-like missile launcher back pack allowing it to hover down to the area. It rammed into Godzilla before finally stopping. The robot walked toward Godzilla who had just gotten up. Godzilla seemed to have a moment of realization; he became viciously angry after that. Kiryu fired all its missiles on the King of the Monsters. Godzilla charged towards him, the lasers not able to hold him off.

The two Godzillas pushed against each other, evenly matched. Godzilla began pushing the machine back but the robot continued to fire its missiles. It escaped with its jets and fired the Hyper Maser toward it. Godzilla countered by firing his atomic ray, destroying part of Kiryu’s over shoulder rocket launcher. Godzilla grabbed it and destroyed the other launcher. The two Monsters began forcing against each other’s hands, until Kiryu activated the Plasma Sword; a blade extended from the back of his wrist and stabbed into Godzilla. Electrical charge surged through it and shocked Godzilla. However, Godzilla fired his Atomic ray and destroyed the arm cannon that had the sword. He then lifted his foot and kicked Kiryu away. The giant robot landed in a building.

Godzilla then began stomping on the machine’s chest and was about to fire his breath. But the planes intervened, allowing the machine to get up. When Kiryu was up, its rocket launcher pack was useless. It leaned forward and the rockets on the pack fired, sending it flying toward Godzilla. It slammed against him and pushed him back until Godzilla threw it away. The fight continued now that Kiryu wasn’t slowed down anymore. It moved as fast as Godzilla could, even faster able to dodge Godzilla’s breath and jump completely over him. The way it was able to veritably beat Godzilla to death made things look bad for the Monster King. After 10 years, Godzilla was once again being overpowered by MechaGodzilla. Then the robot grabbed his tail and began spinning him around until he threw Godzilla away. Godzilla got back up, but eventually went down again.

Kiryu only had 45 percent of power left. They were preparing to use Absolute Zero to finish it. The weapon activated this time. But Godzilla was able to fire his Atomic Breath it knocked Kiryu away, causing the blast to destroy some buildings. Kiryu was now once again out of control. Godzilla’s blast damaged the control systems. However, one of the pilots volunteered to go inside Kiryu and operate it manually. She got in through an emergency hatch while Godzilla’s attention was on the tanks. Meanwhile, the others found a way to repower Kiryu using the city’s electrical generators. But to do it, they’d have to blackout the city. Aso made the call personally and got the city to agree to it.

All of Tokyo went dark as they routed the power to MechaGodzilla. The robot absorbed the energy by radiating it through the spikes along its back. Kiryu was fully charged again and got back up. However, Godzilla shot it from behind with his heat ray. Kiryu staggered forward and tripped over a bridge. Godzilla clearly did not want this thing to live for some reason. But Kiryu stood up as the sun began to rise. Godzilla was charging up to hit Kiryu again. One of the pilots fired on Godzilla, distracting him. The blast hit his plane knocking out a wing. But instead of crashing, Godzilla grabbed the plane with his mouth. The pilot was still alive. And now that Godzilla couldn’t use his heat ray, Kiryu activated Absolute Zero.

But as it charged, the pilot activated the jets and moved toward Godzilla. It took the plane out of Godzilla’s mouth and held it shut. The pilot in the plane was safe. Kiryu flew away, holding Godzilla in the sky. It flew out into the bay. When the two hit the water, Absolute Zero was activated, sending a massive wave of water into the sky that was quickly frozen as well as the water around it. It looked like Godzilla had been beaten.

But the ice shattered and Godzilla rose up, alive. He roared deeply and shallowly. He was badly hurt. Being blasted with Absolute Zero at that close a distance blew his chest open. He retreated when Kiryu resurfaced. He returned to the sea to heal up. However, Absolute Zero was also damaged and would need replacement. The pilot was alive but Kiryu was out of power. They deployed the rescue unit to get the machine. Now the battle was over.

If it seems like this file is so short, it’s because the battle is only half over. My superiors wanted me to keep this as two separate files since the last half of this battle took place a year later. I’d like to state that before this file occurred, when Godzilla and Baragon got back to Monster Land, Godzilla was extremely angry. The monster was clearly upset with mankind after what they did. It seems that something very bad happened to him inside the Black Hole. The Shobijin came to mankind with the startling news that Godzilla had officially declared war on mankind. He was no longer going to protect them. Most of the Monsters on Monster Land were still loyal to him and offered to join him. But Mothra said she would have none of that; she escaped Monster Land and went back to Infant Island to lay her egg. However, when Kiryu was built, Mothra sensed something bad. Soon Godzilla and Mothra, though on opposing forces would work toward the same goal.

Next Time – The Clash of Kings will be concluded and Kiryu will finally realize just what he is.

But the ice shattered and Godzilla rose up, alive. He roared deeply and shallowly. He was badly hurt. Being blasted with Absolute Zero at that close a distance blew his chest open. He retreated when Kiryu resurfaced. He returned to the sea to heal up. However, Absolute Zero was also damaged and would need replacement. The pilot was alive but Kiryu was out of power. They deployed the rescue unit to get the machine. Now the battle was over.

If it seems like this file is so short, it’s because the battle is only half over. My superiors wanted me to keep this as two separate files since the last half of this battle took place a year later. I’d like to state that before this file occurred, when Godzilla and Baragon got back to Monster Land, Godzilla was extremely angry. The monster was clearly upset with mankind after what they did. It seems that something very bad happened to him inside the Black Hole. The Shobijin came to mankind with the startling news that Godzilla had officially declared war on mankind. He was no longer going to protect them. Most of the Monsters on Monster Land were still loyal to him and offered to join him. But Mothra said she would have none of that; she escaped Monster Land and went back to Infant Island to lay her egg. However, when Kiryu was built, Mothra sensed something bad. Soon Godzilla and Mothra, though on opposing forces would work toward the same goal.

Next Time – The Clash of Kings will be concluded and Kiryu will finally realize just what he is.
