Description
...Okay - if there was anything my demented mind ever spat out that needed explanation - it would be this.I admit you guys - when I started reading this story by Cosbydaf in September of 2011, I wasn't there for the story. I think that like all Godzilla Spriters, we were drawn into this story because of the Spectacular Exhibition of Sprite Work. I went in looking to use the sprites...but I found something more. Something frightening.
It was in Entropy that the story started to unnerve me - Not because of the Moonbeast/Melissa portion - but everything that came before and after that. It was the first time that the game seemed genuinely alive. It was so peaceful and threatening at the same time. It was actually a look into another Dimension and the creatures that lived there just interacting in their environment.
It was at this point that I felt so 'disconnected' with the Narrator/Player. I focused more on the fact that it was Godzilla and Mothra and how the story began to slip further and further away - to the point where you realize, that this could've happened with any other famous iconic sprite characters. But it seemed so much more than that - It felt like this story was a "Godzilla in Wonderland" or "Godzilla Through the Looking Glass" - if you will...Then my imagination began to wonder. What if Godzilla and Mothra were brought here for a reason? My suspicions were aroused with the "Bobbleheads" of the Indigo Cliffs. When I see them - I can't help but imagine them rhythmically chanting, "Save Us!"
The puzzle began to fall into place with the introduction of Solomon. His - Still the Best Since 1973, made me feel that in THIS world, he is a highly respected Demon...He could've possibly been Godzilla's Equivalent in this World; Solomon, King of the Monsters.
So then - my theories on Red were that somehow, Red was the Usurper. He stole the throne away, took over, and tyrannically tortured everything and hunted everyone that dared enter his realm. So under his evil reign - the suffering creatures under his power, prayed that a great King would arrive to save them. And the introduction of the New Kaiju Bosses was evidence that Red was extending his powers to Monster Island - Godzilla's Kingdom.
The finale of Extus made my imagination sky-rocket. Seeing Red devour the Angel made me appropriately angry. I imagined that - as it did the player - it would deeply effect Godzilla in the same way. So much that had Zenith been a "Chase" scene like before, I imagined Godzilla turning around to face Red and fight him. A moment of being the Great King this realm prayed for.
Sadly - this was not to be. But still - the way it ended is how it ended, and I enjoyed it. Creepypastas are never about the characters in the game - they're about what's not supposed to be there, (Red) and about the Main Character (the Player). So in this way - SPOILER ALERT - the Plot with Melissa and Acacius was fitting for the story. And Acacius is fucking badass. So in summation - it was all about the Player...Godzilla and Mothra were just along for the ride.
But the point is - This Comic was made in order to showcase what I thought the Story was going to be. An Evil Tyrannical Monster and the Two Monsters who Challenged him. The reason that Godzilla and Mothra are their BL/DAM sprites - is because that is the perspective INSIDE that world, whereas the NES sprites are the perspective of that world from the Player watching a TV screen. In my mind - at one point, the player and Godzilla would've become more connected in a similar fashion to The Neverending Story - with the NES sprites being the pages of the book, and the SNES/Turbo Duo Sprites representing the fantasy world.
Anyway - this is something done on a whim. I hope it can entertain.

Yes - I have checked out CoZ from time to time. I thought the same - but upon further inspection, CoZ seems to be a bit lighter in tone compared to this; if not comical.
Not to criticize the artist's style, but I think the comics aren't large enough; I can barely distinguish the action happening at the current size; not to mention the text is rather difficult to read (due to the size and the background)

Interesting concept. To be honest, while I did enjoy the original story, I actually like your concept better.
