Two kickass girls from the new Avatar: the last airbender show. The legend of Korra is totally recommendable. The only thing I didn't like was the romance, because it felt a bit forced.Related content

yes it was, and so was the ending i have to say. I wished they would have stopped with korra just being and airbender and when she rejected mako to start into new season... anyway nice to see a picture of you again. ^^

Yes, me too. At least then we would have had some conflict to work with in the next season. But I guess they wanted a happy ending in case they didn't get the show renewed.

seems like it but i thought they would get more pressure if they left it open so that everyone wants a new season... except of course that we still don't know what happend to Zukos mum >.<

Bryke does not have good luck with romances. I felt Aang/Katara was ham-handed, obvious from day one.
While I'm not exactly a Korrasami shipper (haha Nickelodeon would never go for this stuff, interesting though it may be), I do love your art. What I find particularly impressive are two things:
1. Korra's expression
and, even more impressive
2. Your representation of Asami. She is practically a monochrome, and you do great things with the shading among all that browns. I love that you even capture and render the Sato logo on her shoulder so well.

I tend to agree with regards to the other romances as well. I still love the shows, though, because holy shit it has a lot of good things going for it. (And yeah, Nickelodeon is not progressive enough to let a f/f pairing happen right now. Which is a rant for another time.)

Yeah. I use A:tLA as a pretty good example of how a story should be told: conceived and finalized without gunning for merchandise, milking poor plots just to keep it going, etc. It was fantastic all around; only the first season annoys me, and that can be attributed to early shakes and not knowing how well audiences would react.

Oh, absolutely agree. And you could tell that it was exactly that mix of the later good qualities what drew an audience, as well. And in a way I'm glad the first season had some mistakes, because they obviously learned from them.

Yes! AtLA had some slooooooooow pacing at first. Korra is a whirlwind. A little too fast, but I blame Nickelodeon for not being up front with how many seasons they initially wanted out of Bryke. There's just that ham-handed romance thing to learn from, now. >_> Oh, and maybe avoiding so much deus ex machina. Sigh. Those last two eps of Korra were a bit rough.

The artwork in the show is juts so beautiful, I couldn't resist doing something from it. And considering how much I liked the other characters as well, there might be other pairings showing up in my gallery in the future.
