Description
This is an AU, in which teenager Lily and Snape might have been friends based on their James-dislike.I imaged the note would say something like "If you have nothing good to say about James, come sit next to me." Only, you know, worded differently.
The colors were an experiment. That doesn't excuse them, mind, but I figured you'd all be glad to know I'm going back to my usual method on the next picture.

A truly magnificient piece, only I have something to say about Lily's hand.Her fingers seem to create a discomfort tangent, as though she is handing Snape the note with only her middle finger, other than her hand, it is quite remarkably done.

Never mind alternative universe! I really think that, at the very least, Lily and Severus may have been friends. After all, wasn't she the best Potions student Professor Slughorn ever had? And didn't Lily defend Snape in the Fifth Book, Pensieve Scene, "Snape's Worst Memory"? AND, since Snape hates Harry so much... he's always going on about how arrogant Harry's dad was, but not ONCE does he say any cruel statement against Lily. Why not? They clearly knew each other. (Dramatic Music chimes in...) Oh, and great artwork, by the way!

call it insane if you wish...but I believe it is one of the few sane beliefs in fandom which has yet to be validated. I don't buy any other fan-ship not included in the series except for this one. Totally believable. Snape has all the bitter/grief/frustration of a man suffering prolonged lovesickness.

i actually like the color effect in this, it makes me feel like they backed into each other in a corner some were to hand the note off, like the only lighting is candle light. it is very nice.
I imagen the note said something like, "you, me, and a good book. midnight in the RoR." (room of requirement)

Lovely picture! I especially love their eyes; Lily's seem distant and clever, Snape's sort of vulnerable, hoping-- it's an interesting character study.
I don't think it's necessarily AU, actually (heh, you drew this before Half-Blood Prince . . . my theory was renewed with that one ^_^) . . . I suspect there were some feelings there, at least on one side . . .

I like how the figures are somewhat reflected back to each other, the contrasts of their hair and the lighter spot of the envelope between them. Lilly's face looks great.
Are there any good fics that follow these lines of thought you'd reccomend? It's a rather interesting idea, but I don't knoiw where I'd start looking for fics.
