It seems to me that many riots, or marches, or demonstrations, have a very intimate atmosphere, not only as if all the people involved are together, but also because they are somehow shouting their fears and emotions and wishes out. The feeling of such a crowd is close to euphoria (or rage). But you've captured something more than these "loud" emotions, you also caught love and desire, something that is usually deeper and even more intimate.
Someone above said that this is staged, but I wouldn't say so - such moments do happen, and because they're so incredible and rare, they are special. If this was a staged photo it would be just a picture, but it just portrays things as they happened, and it's brilliant because of it.
I had to write this all. As for me the best art is the art that inspires, and this shot just made my thoughts rush.
