Description
When I first played Fortress I decided to write up a kind of blog thing, akin to Livin' In Oblivion (google it) to see how long it actually takes to improve in a game that technically has no learning curve whatsoever. It was to be called ' Project Ubermensch' and it was dropped spectacularly quickly. I picked it back up during Valve's free play weekend, the the resultis seven weird little reports on one hopeless Medic-player's spectacularly awful missions, to reach a spectacular denouement on Sunday.I'm trying to be funny in them, so watch out for that.

Something about the general atmosphere of that place told me Arena fighting was not for me. Not for my Medic, anyway. I'm sure it's a tense and exilherating combustible rollercoaster for Pyros and Heavies alike, but I don't have that killer instinct. I quite liked spectating, though. I'm just that perverse.

I'm not the biggest fan of arena, either, but it -can- be fun.
Medics are actually pretty useful, there, since healing's otherwise extremely limited. :3

Arena's actually very fun, when played right. I won as much as I lost, and we all left with a smile on our face.

Cealry you've never played on every map purely as a Medic to provide material for a weird little project. I never win on standard maps, let alone arena, but I understand that deathmatching with a class built for it would be fun.

I enjoy medic whenever I feel too exhausted or distracted to be on the front lines.

Friendly arena match im not too sure about that....Good idea on never going there again its an awful place.

'Friendly' in the massively misguided sense. And the sense that there weren't two online gangs dance-fighting each other.
But yes, Lumberyard's beauty hides a dankly writhing nest of offensive classes.
