Description
For the "Badassery" contest at the Wheel of Time group.I got nerd chills when I read this the first time. Rand was...cool. Super cool. So I sketched a very small sequence in my notebook at school and here it is a bits later.

well they're supposed to be intricate "weaves"but there was no way I was going to design them myself on a quick sketch like this.

I knew I was too lazy to color the whole thing and coloring the explosions seemed like the place to draw my lazy-line.

Sorry I don't know if my coyness came across with the use of ellipses. It was mostly an accident. I colored them first and then forgot about the project for a while. But I agree that it looks nicer this way, I think if I had attempted to paint the whole thing the weaves would have looked kind of silly.

The little colour you could have added would have been brown, green and grey (possibly others) which might not have added much.

Yeah I kind of wimped out on that part. I always imagined the weaves to be super intricate, but I didn't want to spend the next week thinking up and drawing designs/patterns like that.

It is the first time we see Rand really do something post-Dragonmount too, just shows how much he changed during that scene.
Though there weren't enough POV chapters for him...
Need to get a better view of Rand's newfound awesomeness...
