First of all, oh my god thank you for this pattern. You've made my .. man i don't even know cause its been more than a day at this point aha.
Will admit i'm having trouble stuffing that butt ; ^ ;

not sure what part you're having trouble with..
..start by just stuffing it enough to give it it's basic shape. then do the big loops with the thread (make it very long and 2 pieces of thread thick folded in half and knotted, so that it's 4-ply thick). try making the loop, pull the gather and make a knot to hold. make another loop, pull a little tighter and knot to hold. keep doing this til you're satisfied with his "cheeks". also another set of hands never hurts to help hold things. it won't look quite right when you're finished until you back in and add even more stuffing to each "cheek", keep stuffing it til your happy with how it looks. good luck!

Yeah, he made me two adorable squiddles for valentine's day (better than flowers or chocolate, by far) and wanted it to be a surprise... but he had been humming the squiddle's theme song for a few days prior, and I ended up thinking he had told me he was making me squiddles. He was like, "How'd you know they were squiddles? No, I did not tell you." And he posted one of them on fb thinking I wouldn't see it, but I did xD
Unlike him, I plan on keeping my prezzie a secret. And it's driving him crazy, heehee.

that has happened to me also. i've come to realize fabric is more stretchy in one direction than the other, and it makes a difference what direction you cut the pieces out. the amount of stuffing you use can also affect the size. practice makes perfect! the more plushies i make the more i learn, and the better they have been turning out! i'm sure your smuppet is super adorable!!! i hope you had fun making him
