Whew, cutting it kind of close, I know. This is my entry for the Fantasy Earth Zero contest.Less is more in this case. I wanted something that looked like it could be easily incorporated into the 3D environment of the game and something was similar in cut and style to the other costumes, and yet different from the other sorceresses.
I also spent a lot of time making sure the image was easy to "read" and over all I am pleased with the contrast. I love the way I captured the atmosphere with the lighting and blood red sleeves.
Yay! I am glad to be done. It has been a crazy day.
Used a couple of smoke brushes by fallen-stock to get it done quicker. Other than that, everything else is made up. XD

it's a very well executed picture, but it's strange : she looks like anything was happening around, almost like a statue. you could have put more drama in this picture by having her watching in the direction of the lightning.

Yes I agree. I had a different head angle, and at the last minute decided to go back to the original because I didn't have time to work the kinks out (I submitted just a few minutes before it was due). I think it would have improved the gesture.

Rousing picture; wish I knew the girl. The outfit shows off her splendid form and her staff looks decidedly high tech - I wonder what it does? Interesting helmet as it blocks her vision. I assume she has another way of visualizing the world around her and it would protect her from being affected by sight spells or illusions. Does she come with a dragon? What I mean is, I've got a little job for a sorceress with some guts in the up country dealing with a rogue band of trolls led by some strangely garbed chick who seems to possess flame powers. A dragon companion and I'd be willing to pay a bit more.

Indeed, she has a dragon companion, but alas, I ran out of time to depict him!
Yes, my concept here was that she doesn't need to see with her eyes, because her sixth sense is so strong. Her strong need to gain power resulted in her blindness. Perhaps it was an accident, or perhaps this is the fate of all sorceresses who dabble in the magic arts eventually.

Have I mentioned that I hate you lately? D; I want to learn to be better. You should seriously make some tutorials on skin, hair and cloth...like blending and stuff. I'd use them. I can't find any good ones. I've tried so many different types of tutorials. Nothing turns out like I want. D; Seriously consider, it would be SO awesome.
