Description Edit: Here I'm too lazy to change this but apparently "the sclera is the white part of the eye, not the cornea. The cornea (along with eye fluid) is the clear part you see when you look at a dog face from the side." So there you go.

WOOH made this as much for me as others. Hope somebody finds this useful. This covers dogs AND wolves. If anything in this seems off or if there are any writing errors tell me.
I call this advanced because there are many tutorials out there that cover the basic body structure of dogs and wolves but the things is here are a bit more nit-picky.

Images taken off of google (minus the one of my dog), if there really is a copyright problem I can draw my own versions but in many cases pictures seem much more helpful. It's for the sake of learning : <

The Lundehund is an interesting breed, especially with their extra digits on their feet!
And they look so amazingly cute!!!

Ah thank you for this.

I've been basically guessing beforehand, and just taking some information from random pictures I see.

Lawl, I don't know if I'm aiming for realism, or not. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I hope it does help you : D
Pictures are always good references, but looking at my dog is always a lot more helpful for me cuz you actually get a 3-D and up close view.

I also learned a hella lot to from a dog encyclopedia, that's where I found out about the lundehund. : )

I could never in my life draw something realistic, but this is very interesting anyways.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

littlealliegator In reply to AlmightyTwistedFish [2010-08-06 18:44:05 +0000 UTC]

Well it just takes practice blah blah blah (I'm sure you've heard the spill 1000 times )
but yeah a lot of this stuff is really small and specific, but some of it could be applied to making better looking cartoons
