Find my newest tutorials and tips on how to draw all kinds of animals at Mirror Scale !I draw foxes very seldom, so I'm not that familiar with them myself. Basically fox is a dog.
Next time fox muzzle, paws and fur.

ah, they must have finally updated it. The whole blog was unsourced and they refused to add sources for the longest time.

Fox elbows tend to extend further below the chest than a dogs'. It's just a small detail that can make the drawing more fox-like. Regardless, I did learn a lot from this tutorial! Thank you very much~

Sorry to mention that but: Fox anatomy is a good between a cat and a dog
for example their heels are much longer than from dogs. The tail is longer.
The legs are shorter and the paws are tinier than from the overall dog.
But they mostly sit more like cats. due to their smaller front legs

Well, I used word "basically". Fox is a canine, not a feline. Spine flexibility or number of teeth make a difference, not length of the tail. Borzoi and dachshund differ more than fox and wolf from an artist (not zoologist) point of view. Thanks for the tips though, will look into them.

мне вдруг подумалось, что в туторах про зверей почему-то никогда нет пропорций. про человека пишут, что вот тут 7 голов помещается, это равно этому и тд. поэтому с легкостью можно запомнить и на стадии палочек-кружочков себя проверить.

да, я подумала об этом. в книжках о лошадях это пишут. писать про собак бессмысленно, т.к. пород много. кошки тоже разнятся в пропорциях. а для лис надо иметь скелет и измерять
