Description
"But the deathly smell was not the smell of smoke...It was roughly the shape of a man but it had the head of a bird; some bird of prey with a cruel, curved beak. It had four arms which it held high above its head, stretching them out Northward as if it wanted to snatch all of Narnia in its grip; and its fingers -- all twenty of them -- were curved like its beak and had long, pointed, bird-like claws instead of nails. It floated on the grass instead of walking, and the grass seemed to wither beneath it."'The Last Battle' by CS Lewis
The last two Narnia inks were of witches so beautiful being bad didn't seem to bad at all. Not with Tash. From the Turkish word 'stone', Tash is both the Satan to Aslan's Jesus and a living version of the stone pagan idols of the Assyrians, Egyptians, Perisans, and Romans. I've taken the short description Lewis gives us and draw my own version of Tash.
In doing so, I threw the rules out of the window. There is no symmertry in Tash's limbs -- some are thin, some are thick -- and even the finger lengths don't match up. Sinews and blood are everywhere. The clothing was based on what Assyrian priests wore -- again, harkening back to the pagan roots.
This has to be one of the grosses drawins I've ever done. And I like it!

Epic! Tash, pretty much everything about him, was one of my fave parts of "The Last Battle"

I quite like this; normally I'm all about proportion, but the dissymmetry is perfect Tash. Awesome job!

Again, I could tell right away who it was!
You do a great job turning written characters to drawings.

Hey thanks! I think I need to do Jadis before she was the White Witch next.
And...maybe...you know...a certain fawn.
