Description
This is for Fantasy Model Challenge created and hosted byIn this challenge each of us got a model that is based off of mythical creatures. I chose the Dragon, cause I loved that the model had blue hair, and I loved the colors that she had. And instead of going with one of the many different folk lore or mythologies surrounding dragons, I made up my own taking little pieces from several different sources and mythologies.
So with the three designs that I have the first one is the design that she had in the line-up when I picked her.
The second design is what I call her human form. In this form she has next to none of her abilities. Save accelerated healing, able to withstand high levels of heat (with the downside of in this form being more susceptible to cold) enhanced senses(sight, taste, and smell), and enhanced strength.
In her Dragon Queen form she has all of those abilities but enhanced and expanded even further. Anything short of an instant fatal wound is able to be healed if she sleeps atop a large enough hoard. Her skin is covered in tiny crystalline scales that make it as soft as silk but harder than diamonds. Her dress is made of her dragon scales (think like a selkie's skin for the dress and cape) from her alternate dragon form (think a slightly smaller Smaug ) And her cape hides her wings in the Dragon Queen guise. And a dragon can only reach Dragon King/Queen form by laying on a large and rich hoard. The more valuable the items in the hoard the greater knowledge and abilities the dragon is able to get. (laying on the hoard increases their knowledge from the impressions left by the humans, elves, dwarrow, or other creature that left and imprint on the item. Which is why dragons gather and hoard precious gem, gold, and other treasures.)
Her name is Errinaya and dragons at birth don't keep track of the passage of time like humans do. She does know now how human mark the passage of time but she cares not on using it to track how old she might be. She has had several children all having different sires. Since dragons don't mate for life just for that one heat after which they usually part ways. They also have different divides between them from humans. They have males and females yes, but those classifications don't matter. The one that does is if the dragon is a bearer or sire, and both males and females can be one or the other.

The scale mail is one of my favorite cobbled together ideas. I like the pattern that I used in my Dragon Slayers design for the scale mail. Mostly cause the three colors here don't blend into one another as well as I'd like.

Lol, I think the caffeine rush from the three cups of coffee I had, really helped the lore bloom. About half the lore came to me while I was getting it in order to post.
The outfits came great.
Yeah, they might. Errinaya is a bit standoff-ish, but most dragons are till they get to know you.
She loves learning about new places, people, and those places histories.

Oh my goodness, this is just beautiful! I love all the detailing that you put into the skirt and bodice of her human outfit, and I'm completely blown away by everything that you did for her Dragon Queen outfit! She's just breathtaking. I also really like all the interesting stuff you incorporated into the lore for her and her people.

The detailing on the bodice of her human form was one of my last min ideas cause it had just seemed to plain before.
The Dragon Queen outfit was the one I had planed from the start. And it turned out just like I had planned.
And it's shiny and sparkly like a dragons chest would be. Lol, I did cheat by saying that her wings were under the cape but that was half cause I didn't want to really make wings after making the rest of the outfits.
The selkie thing kinda snuck up on me, but it fit in so well.
And that lore was typed out after I had three cups of my Kahlua French Vanilla Coffee sans alcohol, of course, since it was like 8am or so
Like I said I drew from many different lore/mythos cause I wanted to really show that they are dragons and not humans.
And since I had the Dragon Queen dress done I thought, hmmm dragons hoard treasure. Why do Dragon Kings/Queens hoard treasure?
Little bit just all came out and after putting it together, I fell in love with the lore that I had made for her people.

YAY! I'm glad that you like the backstory and my variation of the dragon mythos.
I wanted it to be different, and to have a reason for her having a human form.
But I also wanted her to be beautiful, powerful, and just an all around BAMF.
Also I thought that bringing in the variation of the selkie skin added to the extra idea I had.
And I really wanted the dragons to have a equal power structure between bearers and sires. (that being whichever parent wants to raise the egg/child can. Dragons rarely raise their children in family units.
Errinaya herself is a bearer, and the sires of her children have been both male and female.
Yeah, but this backstory just almost wrote itself after I drank three cups of coffee today.

I love making the scale mail look. This one is almost as much of a challenge as the scale-mail pants I made a while back. Dragon Slayers <-----here
But I really had a plan for this and I am so glad that it came out to plan.
This design were really fun to do. even if I kept getting distracted while I had been working on the scale mail.

I....am....completely amazed O.O you've really went far out on her. This is way better then I could have thought possible. I love the separation between her human for and her dragon form, and I am thrilled on how well you kept the dragon personality and spices characteristics. I am more then amazed at how well you did the drag and drop to really make the image POP! I think this might be one of my favorite bios so far. I love her a lot

This one I was super excited to start and the ideas that I had for her bio are what made me ultimitly decide to go with her and not the mermaid. And boy am I glad too. I love the design that did for the mermaid. And I knew that my muse had a better plan for the dragon.
You know I'm not even sure which outfit I like better, the human form, or the Dragon Queen form. Yeah, I went a little above and beyond what I was going to do, but I wouldn't change either outfit.
And I can't decide on the name of the world that she and her kind live on.
But to make things a little easier on myself I will be doing most of the outfits for the contest in her human form.
I'm really glad that you like the bio. I thought that parts of it might be weird or strange but I wanted to really make it my own. And to really show that while they do have a human form and a humanoid form, they are not humans at all. They are powerful creatures of magic.

She is sooooo pretty!!! I love all of the detailing, and how powerful she looks! I like how the inside of the last dress is a different material then the outside of the skirt, it seems like it would look like a fire when she walks! Great work as always!!

This one took a while to make but I think it is time well spent.
Yep, the inside of the dress is covered in gold, gems, and other treasures from her hoard that she has melded to it with her flames.
The cape is where you can really see the flames. As the pattern on it is constantly moving and fueled by her flame magic.
I wanted her to be really powerful since she is a dragon. And I really love the lore that I made for her. With the dragon kings/queens.

Ah. I'm a writer so making up a backstory sometimes can come easily. And at other times it's like trying to get milk from a rock.
But usually short blurbs or drabbles for backstories I can get out without my writer's block showing it's head.
