(Painter classic and photoshop)Well, it took many, many hours to make this bloody thing. It started out as sortof a doodle...then it grew into some sort of test for myself to see how well I could focus on backgrounds for these dragons...and it wound up being, as Yume calls it, a friggin' MURAL.
MEH.
Anyway...the picture itself is nothing in particular. A male dragon opted to babysit the friends' squirmies. There's one of his down there too...the lil female on top of the log there.
This is 50% of the original size...it's...big...
Errrm...what else...
Yeah, I wound up cheating on the grass by using Photoshop. I WAS going to, and actually started to paint the grass like I had everything else...but dear god I'm glad I didn't do that to myself. I still wound up making it a little complicated by making the grass various colors and whatnot. I thought about going in after and adding flowers and field grasses and varying things but...
Yanno...
I think I'm done with this fekkin' picture.
I also took care, as I have thus far and plan on continuing to do so, to make sure that any fur patterns on my dragons are not instantly recognizable as known terran animal patterns.

You can kinda tell that the grass what photoshopped, but it still looks good since you put shading where it belongs and accounted for perspective.
