Description
Angel the gecko and Sharlette the spider sat on the branches of the tree. They watched the forest clearing down below, waiting. If the information their squad leader, Vaxier, was right, an enemy patrol should be passing through the area soon. Sharlette closed her eyes and ran a hand over the branch. Earlier she had woven a network of psychic webbing to help detect and trap their target. Suddenly a faint vibration reached her fingers, and Sharlette moved. She ran along the branch and jumped down. Angel followed, using her natural gecko abilities to run down the tree trunk as though she was on level ground. The medic reached the ground and looked about, seeing Sharlette lash out with her hands. The spider was weaving more psychic webbing, wrapping up something large.
"Caught something, Shar?" Angel asked walking over.
The spider nodded, giving the medic a rare smile. She stepped aside and revealed an enemy soldier. Only his head remained uncovered from Sharlette's silk.
"Vaxier's information was correct," the spider replied. "Now we can get the information he wants."
Angel smiled at the soldier, placing a hand on her hip.
"You heard my friend," she said. "We need all the information you have."
The soldier snarled at them, and Angel shrugged.
"I am trying to make this easy for you. Tell us all you know, and Sharlette won't have to 'interrogate' you. And trust me, you don't want that to happen."
The soldier looked away from them, refusing to even acknowledge the two Maystic Company troopers. Again and Angel shrugged. She looked at Sharlette and smiled.
"Looks like he want's to do this the hard way, Hon."
Sharlette nodded, giving the soldier a predatory look.
"Fine by me," she said.
The soldier cried out in shock as he suddenly rose up into the trees, pulled by Sharlette's psychic silk. The two girls followed, vanishing from the clearing as though they had never been. One way or another, they were going to get that information...
