Description
... and another animated Scene, I keep doing running creatures cause that's the best trainingAnyway, I wanted to animate Yang since ages, and I already have a fave image of him, so I used that one as base
again, it's no frame-by-frame animation, it's done using the puppet Tool in AfterEffects and some more other effects and stuff added
First time that I added an animated reflection, also used a dog gallop dia as reference for the movement, hope it looks a bit more decent.
Just thought I share as the people seem to like those scenes, not really much happening there though
EDIT: well just ignore the head, it's looking like that because of the baseimage I used ( [link] ) not sure if I can change that, would need to draw the head completely new, it's hard to change those animations though...
EDIT 2: changed the HEAD and some other small parts, hope it looks better now

I would think that when he's extended, instead of having his head look down, he'd tilt his chin up to keep it at the same angle and stretch out his neck a little.
Also, his right forepaw should be turned away from the viewer more.
But otherwise this is awesome.

So sΓΌΓ^^ Die Bewegungen sind sehr schon flΓΌssig. Echt gelungen.

I love this! It actually looks like there are muscles working beneath the furry exterior, it has much more life than a simple 2-D animation. I, for some reason, especially love how some of the fur moves (ruffles?) outwards everytime the back contracts.
You did an awesome job!
Wish I had after-effects now xD

Wow. The animation in this is so fluid. All the spots are intact with each movement.

This is amazing! Now I really want to get my hands on some awesome flashwork! The way you made the body expand and contract is a lot different from what I see usually doing in flash. Opens a lot of things I never thought of. Good work! Much more interesting!

How amazingly flawless animation and dynamic movement! It really feels there are muscles and everything beneath the fur!
Now that I see this, I can't help but to miss your "Lizkay" (character) Yup, I'll miss her a great deal^^

the movements are great... and the paw sequence are great. You do know how to make animetions on autobot and decepticons transform? ryt

Thanks!
I do started to animate C.A.B. once, but didn't really did more than just his feet up to now, it's like a huge amount of work to animate a transformation

I'll need to look into the program you used to animate this.
Its amazing, so smooth.
Does it take a while to get used to?
Just wondering.

It's quite complex at the beginning but I got used to it rather fast, I do worked with it every day for over a year though..

WOW! This is beautiful! Amazing animation! I'm not sure if you wanted any crits and I'm no expert I haven't even started my animation classes yet lol, just thought I'd share what I noticed. There's a point in the animation of the tail where it pauses for a few moments. I think it would be even more beautiful than it already is and emphasize the grace of this beauty even more if you added another bounce to the tail following the first one and tie it in so that the tail is constantly moving, waving in the wind along with the rest of the body.
But other than that it looks flawless @_@ I really love the jerk of the head, you can see how she's pulling forward. It's so detailed and you captured something so subtle. Everytime an animal is running with eagerness they have that little pull/jerk of their head. You're awesome!

Lizkay In reply to CottonConfection [2009-09-09 05:37:14 +0000 UTC]
Thanks a lot!
concerning the tail, the point I used for orientation there was the brown part of the tail in the middle, guess I should've done that for the whole thing not only this part, as the thicker green area moves a lot less, for me it was still the hardest part to get a wave movement of that tail done that looks decent, my first try on something like that as this file is already a big chaos I am afraid I can't change anymore stuff in there, but I will defintiely keep it in mind for the next animation
