Description ... and another animated Scene, I keep doing running creatures cause that's the best training

Anyway, I wanted to animate Yang since ages, and I already have a fave image of him, so I used that one as base

again, it's no frame-by-frame animation, it's done using the puppet Tool in AfterEffects and some more other effects and stuff added
First time that I added an animated reflection, also used a dog gallop dia as reference for the movement, hope it looks a bit more decent.

Just thought I share as the people seem to like those scenes, not really much happening there though

EDIT: well just ignore the head, it's looking like that because of the baseimage I used ( [link] ) not sure if I can change that, would need to draw the head completely new, it's hard to change those animations though...

EDIT 2: changed the HEAD and some other small parts, hope it looks better now

That's pretty cool. The effects added a lot of realisme. The fact you animated the ears and the tail properly gives a lot dynamic to the whole animation. Seriously, well done

Awesome job! The running motion looks natural to me, and all of his body parts "flow" together very well.

Even though I do like the critter, and the animation is superb, as usual - something doesn't quite look right. Maybe it's the head?

The tail is really nice though. I never thought of the idea to make a griffin with just one big feather as a tail!

Thankie!
I think it was mainly the head, I just changed that, I think it looks a lot better now
it's supposed to be a newt-like tail fin, cause he is a some-what underwater gryphon

sher gut!

Grilu In reply to Lizkay [2009-09-05 09:25:52 +0000 UTC]

Ohne Worte.

His head and chest are very stiff, and don't really change so it ends up looking very awkward.

Lizkay In reply to darzie [2009-09-04 16:57:10 +0000 UTC]

Just gave him a new head and also changed some other parts, he moves his beak a little bit now, can't really move the hair as I like though, just doesn't work out with the program...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darzie In reply to Lizkay [2009-09-05 18:58:51 +0000 UTC]

It looks a bit more natural now, though I guess it's personal taste. When you don't do frame by frame it shows a lot, but your frame by frame is good. I enjoy your art though and I like seeing what you do with animation.

It would look a little more realistic if his mouth moved too, but otherwise I love it!

The reflection is awesome!

Kritik:

Wackelohren!
