I have no idea what that thing is. She's fighting it, at any rate. I started this months ago, and finished it at least a month ago. It's too big for my scanner, and I only just figured out how to assemble multiple scans in photoshop, which is why there's a line running through it.Watercolor and some colored pencil.
EDIT: Sorry about the size, I'm having difficulty getting it somewhere between huge and miniscule. I'll fix it at some point.

It is indeed an odd creature . . .
the only cc is really the mountains and the aforementioned arm. Ususally they get lighter as they go into the distance, but still, watercolours are evil.

That's pretty cool! She sort of reminds me of Eowyn. I love her pose, and the way the weird thing seems to melt out of the floor. And that border must have taken ages...
Only piece of critisism: Her right arm looks a little spindly. If she does a lot of swordfighting, her sword arm would presumably be more muscular.
Other than that, good work!

You're right about the arm, it is a bit thin. I thought there was something odd with her anatomy, but I wasn't sure what.
