Description
They're... so happy! D:Haven't submitted anything in a long time...can't be helped I guess. My teachers this semester are total slave drivers
Hope you guys dig...critique and comments are always appreciated. Thank~s
edit: forgot to say...some have already said it, but I already know it looks very miyazaki. I was almost finished with it when my roommate came up behind me and told me it reminded her of spirited away. Then I realized she was right and accidentally hit myself in the face with a roast beef sandwich. It might have been unconscious or something... but I know for sure that the sandwich was delicious.

SO AWESOME! One of your best works. Beautiful composition, classical triangle. Great use of line of site and directional lines to keep the eye moving within the frame. Beautiful colors and motion. It has a still-frame quality - like this is mid-scene and the dvd player is simply on pause. Will order a print when I have a chance. Miss you sis. -Rachel

It's a little more detailed and delicate than miyazaki. In movement as well as the details itself. It's very, very good and I congradulate you on getting a spot as one of the popular deviations of the day with this. You should be very proud!

There's a definite Miyazaki influence, here. You can almost hear the laughter. This is so beautifully creepy. Great work.

I really love this, the colours and tonality work really well and the expressions are superb!
I haven't seen work like this in a while, so I am glad I came across it
Deffinately a , and come to think of it, it does remind me somewhat of Spirited away (not that it is a bad thing though!!
)

Beautiful work! Reminds me of the Harpies of ancient mythology.
For advanced critique... hmm...
There seems to be a visual line formed by the three heads on the left(top semi-transparent one, middle left and bottom left ones) that weighs and anchors the picture in a static way a bit much. Shifting the bottom one over a bit to the right might help break that almost straight line and give it a more dynamic feel.
The right-most one's left arm also seems a hair longish.
Anyway, fantastic work! Beautiful colors, shading, and contrast!

That's a very nice drawing, great colouring. I think those faces are... masks? They are shining, so I wonder if they like polishing them.
Awesome!

Sandwiches are underrated. They should be celebrated worldwide... Sandwich-day.
And the pic is grrreat too, totally envy your rendering style. I'd say the spirited awaydness of it is within the acceptable range, really how theres so many of them in the background powering forth. Guess thats a big reason for the miyasaki feel of it. Anywho, great job.O:

Certainlty reminds Myazaki.
More because of the scene then because of the art style, I think.
The painting is just incredible. I wish I can do something like that one day...
I really liked it!

Aw, I get so happy when I see them. reminds me of my two bigbrothers
(... hey, I'm serious) ...nostalgi. x')
Anyhow... me aswell get the thought of Miyazaki. Both yes and still not...
I love the colors, they're alive and their laughs feels real to me.
(and their small feets are so adorable I like feets).
They're more of enjoyment then scary to watch, hehehe

they remind me of laughing harpies or the three fates.. even though i see more in the background... i love the creepy laughingness that they give out cause its like they know something but arent telling you.. The color and style is wonderful.. I just really love the playfulness of them and the sense of cruel evilness of how they could almost ripe out your spin...
Hands down... love it... top fav right now

you used just the right colours, its is definatly a miyazaki look a-like.
but this is your own work you really cant compare that. overall you did a good job with the use of colours it gives it a feel well happinness.
i would definatly give you a thumbs up for your art work.
i actually bet you could do better pictures than that with your skill.

Wow, they're like a cross between NoFace, Yu/Zeniba, Princess Mononoke's demonized gods, and Ganondorf's "moms". That's a whole lotta scary rolled in one package.
