this is a great bug lady pic! I've been looking about for inspiration for alien species inspiration for a role-playing game I'm writing and really like a lot of your artwork. I have one playable race that can morph into different animal forms as well. If I ever finish it, I'll have to look you up!

If you've ever read the book "In the Company of Ogres" by A. Lee Martinez, there is a character in there known as the red lady, or something like that.
As soon as I saw this, it seemed to be a perfect representation of the goddess (red lady, in the book).
She'd prod the guy with her staff to wake him up from his deathly slumber.
--so that might not make sense, you'd have to read the book ;D

I think he's got..three books out now. I need to get the third.

I am so happy to see conceptual art and quality in the same piece.... THis is so wonderfully balanced... I love how you chose to detail this, its very bold and imaginative, but it still has a kind of grace and simplicity.... the expression is hard to pin though, like a "what the hell did you just say?" kind of look... this is really cool, did you use painter? See, thats when you know you've made agreat piece, when someone wants to know more about it than what they can plainly see!
