Feelings on Pokémon:
Having been attacked by more than a few in her day, Fiona is appropriately wary of the beasts. Although not by any means afraid of them, she still prefers when they remain a safe distance away. She’s not entirely thrilled at having to work with one, but it’s nothing she’ll give up the opportunity to bring hell to Kanto for.

Backstory:
Fiona never knew her father. He served and died in the Great War without ever meeting his younger daughter. Arden Blackwood left behind his wife, Vivian, and their two daughters, Sylvia and Fiona, in Ecruteak City. After the ceasefire, Sylvia chose to travel to Kanto to attempt to retrieve her father’s remains. Vivian and Fiona never heard from her again. Two years went by, and Vivian finally decided to let go of her older daughter and try to build a new life for Fiona. She remarried and gave Fiona a baby brother.

But Fiona did not want a new life, and she wasn’t ready to give up on her sister. At 16, Fiona’s resentment for her new family hit a peak, and she decided to run away. Remarkably, she survived in the wilderness along Route 38 for five months before being caught stealing food from a farm on the border of Route 39. The farm’s owners took in the scrappy young girl and let her work around the farm in return for three square meals a day and a spot to sleep in the barn loft, which suited Fiona just fine. She took to farm work right away, but never stopped thinking of Sylvia.

As the years passed, Fiona offered to take on more responsibilities to start collecting a small wage, with a plan of one day buying passage to Kanto to look for her sister. Eventually, her small pile of money became a bike to ride into Olivine proper for a second job to one day buy passage to Kanto to look for her sister. And then it became an apartment in Olivine proper so that she could get more hours at a better job to one day buy passage to Kanto to look for her sister. But when she could finally afford the fare, the military tensions had reached a point where travel was cut off between the nations.

Kanto had taken her father from her, taken her sister, ruined her family, and stolen away her chance for closure. The day war was declared, Fiona was the first in line for enlistment.

Pokemon bio / personality:
Evolution had very little affect on Princess. He is now considerably taller. He is still a brick of a Granbull. In all things, he is difficult to move when at rest, and difficult to stop once in motion. Despite Fiona's attitude of general disdain toward him, reliable meals and praise of achievements (no matter how begrudging) seems to have won Princess's loyalty to his new trainer. He has come to see her as the alpha of the strange pack that grows around them, though he is very firmly in the beta position, not that anyone seems to want to challenge him on this.

Bacon | Mamoswine | Timid | Snow Cloak | Female
Pokemon bio / personality:
Bacon's abrupt enlistment into the military was an unsuitable life change for the little piglett. She would much rather be back in the Ice Path lying very still and pretending to be a rock. Her evolution into a Piloswine made this plan somewhat problematic. Evolving into a Mamoswine was increasingly distressing to the situation. Perhaps she could pass herself off as a tusked hill?

This curious little pokemon is very excited to explore every aspect of her new environment. Being Fiona's only available pokemon during the battle at Ecruteak toughened the cub up quite a bit, though did nothing to temper her curiosity or mischievous inclinations. However, she has become slightly paranoid of having Fiona out of her sight, and seldom wanders far from her trainer. Fortunately, her discovery of the ability "Fling" and its delightful combination with "Pick Up" has brought her no end of delight, despite the restriction on her exploring.

Slick is a soldier to his core, though he comes to Fiona already scarred from battle. Born and raised military, he was bred for infiltration and stealth, and he was assigned to Fiona to fill those gaps in her team. In the years leading up to the war, Slick had been a member of an elite espionage squad in which he was partnered with his sister, an Espeon named Sleek. The two worked like a well-oiled machine, and they were so thoroughly synchronized with each other that when Sleek was killed on a mission, he broke down completely and was retired from the field. In the intervening years, he was put out to stud with a breeder who was kind enough to take the time to nurse him back to functioning mental health. Now, too old to breed, too valuable to release, lest he fall into the hands of the rogues, and just functional enough not to be put down by an army that needs all hands on deck, he has obediently joined the ranks of Fiona's merry band of misfits.
