Light pink to dark pink I find the best, but red is so blinding... Ah wells sometimes it is necessary. I have a character with red hair and red eyeline.

Ohh.. my coloring is simple compared to other artists...
Most of them make lots of layers for the shadows and highlights,
and I do just one or two for both in this coloring style D:

It's helpful but one step I'd want you to clarify. The outline of the character at the end of the tutorial, it looks like "strokes" filter but how do you get it so clean and no extra stroke lines?
You know how sometimes if we want to add stroke effect on the line art to create that white outline on the character, if the line art itself was not clean then you will have uneven outline lines coming out or appearing at various spots where the program detects "pencil marks".

Ohh I do the white stroke on Photoshop.
Yes, somethimes there are spots of 'pencil marks' in my drawings, but I
simply erase them. They're usually from the Lineart xD
I'm really carefull with this part...
I recommend you to 'zoom' the drawing and erase those unclean lines.

Ah so there's no other ways around. I always felt like I could never do it right so only rarely I'd try to do that. Otherwise I'd use the glow effect to kind of hide that messy stroke lines.

how did you get so many tools in paint tool sai? I don't have a fraction of them!

Ohh you can download some packs of tools from the internet.
There are some tutorials explaining how to do this.
You can also create new ones! Do you know those 'blank squares' in the tools?
Give a right click on one of them... You're going to create another tool:
for example, a "Pen Tool"
Now, you can configure it! There are great configurations like this one:[link]
You can simulate a 'mechanical-pencil' effect in this case ^^
