Thanks! Our tripods can have a competition...

The 'beercan' is the old Minolta AF 70-210 f/4 lens. Supposedly it's shaped roughly like a (rather large?) can of beer. Maybe the cans being refered to are before my time, or maybe it's just that I don't drink beer that comes in cans, but I still can't the resemblance.

Battle of the Pods - might make a great cartoon! haha Don't know about the beer can analogy, being new to the world of photography, but it is definitely descriptive (if not accurate )
