Description
A little update on my Rasp Cleaver. I'm a bit sad that my picture didn't come out as well as it should have, but I snapped a few of this one before sending it on its merry little way. I really should have glanced through the photos before shipping it, but I was in a rush. >.<However! The main update is that I moved my stamp to the butt of the handle. I also sharpened it all the way down the blade rather than giving it a choil like I normally do. Since it's made for cleaving, it didn't really need one.
I will also be coming out with a second version of this style. I like the osage orange for it's strength, but I'll be adding another option to this one later on. When that time comes, I promise I'll do a better job of photographing it.

Only Vulcan's hammer will take me, permanently. Unfortunately the job keeps me away sometimes. Such a cruel mistress. She does buy me steel tho...

I like the blonde scales on this one...it contrasts well with the overall look of the blade. I know this is probably a nice chopper, but I'd have a tough time using it for fear of messing it up. As usual, nice work!

Thank you! Yeah, I feel that I would regret messing one of them up, if anything did happen to them. I'm really rough with my knives and stuff though, then again I can fix them pretty easily. Still, it hurts a little bit when I really mess one up. lol

She's a beaut as usual mate, gotta love how horse hoof rasps come out as blades! I dont know about you, but i usually have an abundance of them around for hot rasping, and they get converted as soon as they are too dull to work any more.

I don't hot rasp very often. I turn them into knives as soon as I get my hands on some of the good ones.

Not sure. I only know of 4 for a fact that are used in peoples kitchens and one that is used to chop up deer. The rest I'm not really sure about. I usually don't ask, because sometimes the answers get a little weird. lol
