Description “P…please…. don’t hurt me! I’ll give you anything you want…. weapons?….food?….. gold? Everyone loves gold right?…. PLEASE DON’T HURT ME!!”
-Sergeant Flak upon being defeated

The first “big obstacle” that our heroes encounter during their search for the Avatar.

Flak is one of those creatures from the Western Hemisphere that have been incorporated into the invading army.
Flak is what the people of the west call Camouflagers, one of the few “Horrors” that have a complex form of sentience.
They are cowardly and selfish beings that usually work as assassin, thanks to their ability to morph their grotesque body. Some believe that they were once spirits that got stuck into a human vessel, but these are mere speculation.
Camouflagers aren’t particularly reliable, acting tough when surrounded by allies, but once their isolated they’ll do anything to save their skin, and Flak is no different.

Sir Rudolf and Sir Gillard encounter Flak and his men in a fishing village that was took over, where he’s planning to build an immense port, so that he’ll immediately be promoted. The duo intervenes as he’s setting fire to a shop that has refused to pay their fee. Apparently Flak seems to be just a frail and spiteful little man that hides behind his subordinates, but it soon becomes clear that he’s much more dangerous than he looks.
After escaping, Sir Rudolf and Sir Gillard join the local resistance and prepare a final attack.

In the final confrontation against Rudolf, Flak reveals what he really is, and finding himself cornered he takes a young boy hostage, however he underestimates Rudolf bending, as a lightning shot on his shoulder forces him to let the boy go.

The last we see of Flak is him groveling at Rudolf feet, who leave him and his man in the hand of the villagers that he has abused for so long.
