It's just to portray her mutant powers. She kissed or touched Wolverine and got his healing factor, heightened senses and bone claws!!

She's absorbed people's powers in most continuums, but i have never see her physically manifest, I.E. Bone claws, grow wings bet bigger muscles. not so sure it is part of her power set to do so... Interesting none the less I suppose

I remember a time she absorbed many powers at the same time, like Colossus's, Wolvie's and Nightcrawler's, it was physically visible!
