Description
Careful... Some flowers have thorns.Recently, suggested I do a death fairy to make myself feel better given recent problems with the new lighting engine code and character rigging. You know what? She was right! I do feel better.
The weapon was modeled in wings3D and, completely, reflects the mood I was in... The greaves were also modeled in wings3D. The rest came from various other places.
This image is also the first image I have rendered using the first candidate release for a new lighting engine I am working on for Povray. (Swirl was a proof of concept... the lighting engine has improved, a lot, since that image.)
The engine is called IBX for the moment and I still haven't decided if I am adding support for poser just yet. There are still some rough edges in the processing engine I need to smooth out before I release it for general use.

I'm sorry. The original was rendered at 1440x1440 which doesn't meet your requirements. I will try to redo the render, but it may not complete in time.

Totally awesome, would love to get my hands on that stuff. I wish I understood how to make 3D models, though I'm not sure how MY ideas would come out.

Very nice. I've been experimenting in rigging, but haven't done marvelous results, yet.
The "twisting the wings" off of fairies gives me fiendish delight for some reason! LOLOLOLOL To much Addams family for me!

The Death Fairy! She's great.
I like the lighting, it makes the metal look fantastic. I also like that you are really good at modeling and it shows here. That's interesting what you did to her wings. Did you deform them in Wings? Great job, as always from you.

The wings were deformed in poser... I put some magnets on the wings and twisted them till I felt a whole lot better! Muhahahahhahahahahahhaha!
I'm starting to get the hang of the rigging stuff so future pieces may be more... friendly.

very nice. she doesn't look friendly at all. i like seeing A3 away from the norm. i just wish more people would stop rendering pretty fairies in forest groves and blaze new trails.

Wow this is a very nice composition! I would had used A4 for the character for the sake of facial expressions, but well, perhaps death fairies are supposed to be a little creepy. I like the flying hair a lot, is it the Mitsu hair? ^___^

I still suffer from a lack of wardrobe for A4..... The hair is AS Litsure hair mixed with A4's Posh hair.

WW2 supports V4, and thus it automatically also supports A4.

How well does it work? I tried the demo of XD and was disappointed to find out that it handles converting clothes with hands and feet very poorly. I am wondering if all conversion tools suffer from the same problems.

Wardrobe Wizard 2 does not handle hands very well, or at all in some cases, but handles the rest of the conversions beautifully.
XD has been updated to include better hand conversions.
I use both, but am starting to use Wardrobe Wizard 2 almost exclusively now (since I was able to catch the sale on the expansion packs at CP, and because it allows you to convert to the same figure, adding in handles and smoothing, and to make conforming clothes out of props and dynamic cloth.)
Anyway, it is a life saver for wardrobe expansion!

OOo... thanks for the feedback. I've been thinking about buying one of the tools, but I keep forgetting to ask if anyone has used WW or not and how it stacks up against XD. I'm glad to find someone that has used both.

Yeah, I like both very much. It all depends on the level of perfection you want/need, I guess. I usually don't require too much detail...I just use the default settings and then fix up any problems in postwork.
Wardrobe Wizard 2 includes a lot of tools for fine tuning conversions, though. It is definately also the more expensive choice, though...especially if you are only converting to one or two figures.

I tried many conversions tools before, but so far WW2 has done the best work although only in a few cases the results are acceptable to my standards. The biggest issue is usually small details being destroyed, but WW2 seems to do a much better job in preserving them. When it comes to converting from A3 to A4, you first have to convert to V4 and that's where I see a problem because of the massive differences in body proportions...
