Description I’m not sure why she is in chains.. but I’m pretty sure she belongs there….
Yet another piece that the thumbnail won’t do any justice to. You will probably want to do a full view on this.

This piece was heavily inspired by one of my all time favorite pieces here on DA. Please stop by and have a look at [link]

I even had her dress (and texture) modeled at one point, but then things just went off in a completely different direction.

This piece represents several, personal, technical accomplishments for me….

1) I have never modeled so many items in a scene before. All the stonework, the corset, the small arm and leg belts, arm straps, gems, and the side straps were all created in 3DSMax. The straps are also the first time I have ever rigged a figure before.

2) This is the first time I have ever done water in a raytrace. Parrotdolphin gave me a link to a great site for modeling water. If you are into povray, and even if you are not, check out this link if you plan on doing water in a 3D scene. [link] If anyone wants the material I used for the water, let me know.

3) It would be shorter to list the textures I didn’t design in this scene…. Her eyes and hair.

Looks great. I'm jealous that you can model your own bits while I'm struggling to find ways to miss-use the stuff I've got in my runtime for purposes it was never meant for.

astonishing, mesmerizing, absurdly great, as awesome as the time some refer to as "peanut butter jelly time" but in a different kind of way. The effort put into this is clearly evident and is oozing out in waves of "wicked sick" with a hint of raspberry.

You sir have won an internet!

Thanks! This piece was a turning point for me. I started modeling more and more items starting with this one. I still have a fond place in my memories for this one.

The effort you put into your work shows. Although this may not be the best place to ask but what programs do you use to model things?

No prob. I use 3DSMax and wings3D. The latter program is free.

dangerous prisoner, methinks. love the detail of the sky as seen through the arches behind her, nice contrast to the interior, gives the scene a sense of moment - darkness approaches, she'll be doing something soon!

I REALLY want to thank you for pointing toward that tutorial site!
Sadly, I never realized you could save off photons until I read that thing. Wow! That saved me some time.

Oh yes...she belongs in the chains...she's quite deranged, anyone can see that. Look at those eyes, the evil in them. Don't get too close, she'll rip yer throat out with her teeth she will!

Fantastic piece. Great modeling job, those straps are fantastique!

nice work and the image you used is just a great. you did slight differences that I like though I love the chains, it's a great added touch and her eye's are wicked. She looks like if she gets free she's going to rip your head off.

Nice to see you have been modeling stuff for your own scenes. That's not something we see very often in the Poser community. ^^ That's some nice water effect too!

She'd make a fine bride for my alter ego, I think Fine work as always Yes, I know that's a repeat of what I always say, but it's always true

Other than that, I've one small nit to pick: the ring connection the chain to the band around her neck looks, in my eyes, like it's not suited for the job

Oh, and are you thinking of ever releasing more model/texture stuff you've made?

Hellwolve In reply to Lokai2000 [2006-08-23 12:21:57 +0000 UTC]

Well, yeah, it does I'd go for integrating half a link into the collar and linking the chain to that

Ok doke!
Note: the scales for this are set to be compatible with poseray scenes. I used a box to keep the photon calculations for caustics to a minimum.
