Description
High in the mountains lies the city of Abeal. Its half-eleven inhabitants are protected by the Cherneen; a group of fighters specializing in large two-handed weapons. Each warrior is charged with protecting a long piece of fabric attached to his or her body via small metal rings. A winged mouse is given as a present to each warrior completing the training regiment. The creatures are used to relay information among the units and are often used to distract enemies.

Each warrior's rank is determined by the number of rings attached to the protected cloth. All rank is lost by detaching said cloth. Each warrior is free to discipline the entity responsible for purposely, or accidentally, removing the garment. Such events often do not end peaceably.
