awesome! i love it so much! i really want to get into 3D modeling, specificaly making animated things (i really want to make a flash movie, but frame by frame that will take years so i decided to use 3d cel shaded characters)

This was done in poser 6. It takes two different renders with some postwork, so it won't work well for animation.

If you want to do an anime character, you will need an anime model. Since you are doing Flash, you may want to check out the animedollkit at Renderosity. Animedoll (or AD) can wear Mayadoll clothing. Other options are BelBel and Aiko3 at DAZ. BillyT has Himeko at Renderosity as well. (Nice model, but she is not well supported.) Poser 6 used to ship with RNDA's LaRoo which is a cartoon like character, but not really anime.
As for tutorials, I don't have anything. However, Renderosity has a large collection of tutorials. You might find something there. There are some tutorials here at deviantart as well. Check out this one also [link] .

wow thanks heeps, i think you are the most helpful person i have ever met on DA, you have answered all my questions, sorry, may i ask just one more? in the demo of poser 6 that i have now, hair seems to be prety good, is it possible to make anime style hair in poser? like thick and spikey? and also have it effected by wind?

Thanks lots, again you have been more than helpful i just need Poser to arrive (wednesday i think), im starting to see how stupid it looks for me to randomly decided to make a movie using 3d characters, being a 2d artist (and ull konw im not a very good one if u have glanced at my gallery lol), but i guess ill give it a shot, have you ever made any animations? i couldn't see any in your gallery

Sorry for the delay in getting back. I was out yesterday. Poser really isn't set up to make models. You use it to create scenes or animations with pre-made models. There are different hair sets floating around out there. Some are free. Others you have to buy. Most come with morph targets. These targers allow you to pull and shape the hair to some extent and they can be animated to create motion or wind like effects. Poser provides a hair room for dynamic hair. (Think Aki's hair from the Finaly Fantasy movie) However, my attempts to create anime style hair using that method have all failed pretty badly.
DAZ has got several anime style hair sets for Aiko3 (XinXin). Batlab has got the twin-tail hair for several models. The AnimeDollKit comes with a "modular" hair system for animedoll that allows you to build many different hair styles from small pieces. The renderosity freebie area has lots of hiar models. Lelu here at deviantart has the Oni hiar model for Aiko3. [link]

This is very cute and pretty - the shading is awesome i like those tattos a lot, they give her a sort of "magical" appearance - a fairy shaman perhaps?

I made the tatoos as an .psd file for overlaying on body textures. It was my first attempt at doing something like that. I liked the way it turned out.

Oh, you bet they did. I still never used tatoos on my characters so far. In general Anime, tatoos are sparsely used too. But I think tatoos can make a character much more interesting and unique. ^^

You didn't miss anything. They got this wonderful idea of a great Anime series and massacred it with a mediocre story that will get you yawning in no time.
And to make it worse, this pitiful excuse of a story is dragged over a very long series, where things take very long to happen (if ever).
NeoRanga had some great potential but instead it was masterfully ruined.
At least they got my attention with nude girls on the cover with some of the most exotic body paint (not tatoos) covering most of their bodies. At least that part was inspiring, and I have seen many Anime websites using those girls on their front pages. Very misleading.
