A little tip that I'm not sure if people noticed in the pictures, but you might want to put in the description.
The seam on the stockings that you use, since they will be covered by the felt, have it on the front tip of your shoe going underneath.
As you see in the pictures in the tutorial, it gives it a much better look of a boot. ^-^

I wanted to do this and I'm a little nervous,
I'm not an expert walking in high heels and I know I'm going to be on a sleek floor with no carpet, does the materialized up soles on the shoe cause for slipperiness on certain floors?

They do! But its very easy to fix, just get something like thisΒ www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Self-Adhesiβ¦
to stick to them when they are done!

Also if you need a colored edge on the top of your boot, put ribbon on -after- measuring the size you need and then sewing it (or gluing, be careful though because it won't flex then) on one side, over the edge and on the back of the edge too to cover the hem.
You either need thin elastic string to sew it on with or you need to do it by hand while stretching the stocking to the right size.

can you use something else instead of a hot glue gun? we don't have one.

hot glue guns can run pretty cheap, i gor\t a mini one and pack of glue sticks for around 6 dollars

Oh gosh, the beauty of hot glue is that is drys very fast and adhears to felt very well, you could rying something like liquid nails but you would need to hold it in place for ages, whatever you use has to be like paste or gel, liquid simply will seem into the felt and go away, you can buy fabric glue that could work?
