Description
I've always been a fan of 'The War of the Worlds and especially Jeff Wayne's musical version of it.I thought it would be a good idea to have the NASA Rover looking for life in the rocks whilst in the background there's the wreck of a Martian tripod half buried in the sand.

Cool I like how the mars rover looks live on mars. And how the tripod is right behind it.

Well you never know, they have detected large pockets of methane gas and some people at NASA think this could be the evidence for life they have been looking for.

yeah i saw that mentioned a few years back, the interesting thing was they grow and shrink seasonally. i wouldn't be suprised if nasa know more than they are willing to admit. the signs have been mostly favourable and the climate is suitable for life. who knows, i think the next few years are going to be interesting.

I certainly find it hard to believe that Earth is the only life baring planet in the Universe.

Such an amusing composition too. The way the rover finds the rock fascinating.

I thought this was going to be a quick picture to paint. I painted the landscape and fighting machine in about 3 hours and then it came to the Mars Rover and it tuned out to be a lot more complicated than I originally thought.
It took about 3 days to finish this picture.

Thanks again and thanks for the credit.
I have seen similar pictures before, usually with Egyptian icons in the background, Pyramids, sphinxes, that sort of thing. But I'd never seen one with a Martian war machine, so....

Yeah, sometimes I see other people their art and I get inspired, yours was one of them. And I also like to give a little background info to where the idea came from. In this case I can refer to another persons work
