Awesome. You did really well with this, I particularly like the way you've done the surface.Β

Thank you Stratocracy. Refering to the ground: it uses an ecosystem of two kinds of rocks and a handful of bigger rocks (Metablobs with displacement) that were handplaced. Also added three terrains to mimic this somewhat rounded appearance.Β

Thanks. Mostly basic stuff in Vue. If you haven't, you should take a look at this software. Great for all kinds of nature renders. I had a look at you gallery. What software are you using?

It's not special software really, its a game called KSP.Β

I googled for KSP and it sounds interesting. Maybe I will have a look at it. Right now I am still playing Skyrim (about 100 hours already, I use the Requiem Roleplay Overhaul for elevating the difficulty) and I am still just scratching the surface of the missions.Β

oh very nice love the haze in back ground

ralfmaeder In reply to Emilyahedrick [2014-04-09 05:30:19 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. In this particular scene I pushed the haze ground density way over the top to see some "good" results in the distance: Β I used 1200% and 30 meters height, very unusual settings I suppose. I did this because though I already used an Aerial Perspective of 10, the background still wasn't hazy enough, especially near the ground.

ill have to give that a try. Im at a point where its time for me to step it up, i got bored of rendering because i reached my level, and needed to get better. And for that to happen, i'm going to have to not rush through render lol so all your little tips I will be keeping in mind and giving them a try Β

You are so kind. At the beginning I was watching and reading a lot of tutorials until I got bored. Just when I entered the Facebook Groups, I began to be motivated by the other artists and little by little got more creative. The input of other artists is important in my opinion. And learning by doing! Hope to see you soon in the Vue Galleries. If you have some problem to enter, please give me a "call".Β

Tutorials and reading books is great, but all at a time. Nowerdays I begin a scene and when I encounter a issue or question, I start my research. Not the other way round, since there is so much to know about Vue, you never will be able to know everthing. Hope to see your first post or question in Vue Galleries.
