I know I've had him finished for awhile (hence the dust on him) but haven't uploaded pics as promised. well, the baby was asleep, so here they are.I'm pretty happy with the way that he and his guards turned out, but I'm only ok witht the gold on the throne.
It didn't come out BAD, but I think I could have done a better job with new paint and more layers.

Faces and eyes are the trickiest things, but as long as you layer faces, they turn out decent.

From all the pics it's not a bad job, but I would've given a couple of the guards different beard/ hair color. Just to mix it up. But again that's me

Yeah, I thought about doing that. I do that with my other dwarves.
I changed my mind after I read that the Honor Guard were supposed to be the oldest, most experience warriors. Often taken from the Longbeards (almost all grey).
If I had it to do over again, I'd probably do 1 with a different color though.

Yeah, makes since seeing as the Grudge king's guards would be the oldest and beardiest of the dwarfs.
