how dare deviantart change things thats horrible !!!!if you excuse me im gonna increase my commission prices because i need money and change my avatar again
Whole deviantart is about this and its just so stupid
oh no they changed the icons , oh noo now everything is different forever
and changing the prices is something totaly normal for a site like this , im surprised they didnt do it before
yeah they should have said something about it before changing it so suddenly but then again , everyone would react the same anyway
if you dont like core membership then don't buy it simple as that
just because you can't afford it doesnt mean its bad , you don't see me being mad at Apple for making laptops out of my price range
but then again , everyone can have their own opinion i quess

How can you just avoid worrying about it when you want the features but can't afford it because they raised the price? Pretty or not, the core membership symbol's design stands out and makes people look better than others. It's like DeviantArt doesn't care about anyone who doesn't have extra money and only wants the ones who pay to be noticed...

The only single thing that bother me is that it is becoming like WinRar "buythis" message where everyday i enter the site, i get a message in my feed with a prompt for core...but again, like winrar, i dont feel like it is an actual need..
But again, that was just this wek, so maybe they are trowing some offer and i simply didnt care to look.

LOL at this comic. It's stupid how people complain about things that are totally their choice. However, the price didn't increase. You're paying the same amount. It's just $15 for THREE months instead of $5 for ONE month. Simple math, $5 x 3 = $15. Really, it's kinda better than a monthly payment.

It's not the fact that they increased the price - it's the fact that they left no notification whatsoever. Also, literally a DAY after they changed it they sent everyone a notification about their fucking BIRTHDAY JOURNAL and completely acted like nothing even happened.

I kinda have a mixed opinion on this. So far lately, da has thrown away the opinions of the actual people who support this site (us) and itβs turned away a lot of users. DA is steadily going downhill. Iβm surprised that as a business, they havenβt realized that by now. However... All this drama for a pretty profile? Get real. If you donβt want to buy it anymore because of the change, thatβs your own problem. There are some of us like me whoβve only got to touch it once or never and weβre still alive. :]

I don't really mind the price increase, I guess they just need the money. (although a notice, new features, or gradual price increase would have been nice) I just hate the orange. I don't mind the new look, the star bubble thing. I'll get used to "Core" membership. It's just the orange. The orange gets to me. It stands out way too much, and not in a good way. I will be content if they just changed the color....

I don't mean to be salty but really. There's pretty much no other decent art websites, especially not with a community willing to pay for commissions, so leaving isn't an option if I want to continue to have any sort of income.
I agree it got pretty silly with the change.org petitions and stuff, but do you really have to shit on people for not having the same money making capabilities as you? That's what it comes down to here.

When people get Mad at deviantart for their actions, make long disrespectful journals, curse at core and all have icons saying "stop core" its totaly fine, but when i say that people are overreacting, make a silly comic and say "everyone has their own opinion i quess" its wrong ? I mean i get you, but i had no iintention to "shit on people", all i said was the fact that if people can buy it then dont buy it, its simple as that. In this world prices go up, thats just how it is. But if you read any of the conversations i had with people in these comments that think that core is too expensive you can see that , again, im not " shitting on them" but have a normal respectfull conversation.
Not only that the comic is just a silly "funny" representation of what is happening (or should i say, happened, i dont see it around much anymore), its about the fact that some people express their opinion by making caps lock journals, new avatars and stamps with "STOP CORE", doing that wont do anything. Everyone can have their own opinion, and without me being able to buy CORE or not, i think that deviantart can do whatever with their prices, its their prices. Every company started out with lower prices then the prices they have now, so why not deviantart
