I came across this tutorial just as I was starting to set up my first pinboard on PinTrest and OMG I am so glad I did. Your work is amazing and everything I have been striving to teach myself with Copics for the last year. Thank you for the GREAT tips! and I do love to see it piece by piece. Danke.

Oh goodness gracious!! This is incredible! I cannot say for sure how long I've wanted to mix the copic marker and color pencil mediums together, but I had no idea how to start. Then I found this! Thank you for such a lovely tutorial, it explained so much so well. And the pictures are a real help, too!

When I scan my lineart, it always get so pixel-ish instead of smooth as it looks irl. Your looks smooth! How can I do that? I got a program called Sai if that helps lol.

This was taken from my FAQ ([link] ):
"- How do you edit your drawings with photoshop?
I scan my paintings, the scanner settings are chosen so that the outcome is a little grey-ish and the contrast isn't really high. Then (in Photoshop) I look for a spot in the picture where the original painting is white. There I use the eraser tool (or brush tool, doesn't matter) and make a little white dot, so I see how white the grey has to get to REALLY be white on the screen later. From there I start with adjusting lightness and contrast, always keeping an eye on the erased spot. When I don't see it anymore, all the grey is now white. Then I just adjust some of the colors, making them brighter or less bright. And that's about it."
I guess it should work similar with SAI. But if it isn't an edit problem, maybe it is your scanner that makes the pictures pixel-ish. In that case I can't really help you.

Excellent. You draw and color beautifully, explain in a clear way that makes it sounds easy (it's encouraging, but I won't be fooled. I can't draw like that. ), and your English is good in my opinion. ^^

Funny enough, I have Copic markers and I have a good set of colour pencils and I've always used them separately. It has never occurred to me that they can be combined in this way. Thank you for teaching me something new! Now I feel the enthusiasm of picking up something I haven't touched in years again!
