Description
Was most fortunate to be asked to write a chapter for the upcoming Digital Painting Techniques Vol. 4 so I painted this as a tutorial piece to demonstrate my approach, painting metals, liquids, calculating reflections and yes, illustrating psychotic pets.Do not build one of these at home... water and electricity together are not your friend.

ahem ahem... and how might one get a hold of this tutorial??? huh? huh? ...Gnomon is basically a umhhhh.... what the hell would you call it? I guess a 'banner' under which a bunch of concept artist publish stuff... mainly instructional DVD's and stuff.

Waaaaaay cool!! Crazy concept, great art, spectacular detail!! Love the helmet! We can visualize the HAIR-RAISING experience the cat would have. What a image that would be! But the smell of burning hair is NOT pleasant!! A cat eats a caught fish, but what does a fish do with a captured cat? Just FRY him, I guess!!
