Was most fortunate to be asked to write a chapter for the upcoming Digital Painting Techniques Vol. 4 so I painted this as a tutorial piece to demonstrate my approach, painting metals, liquids, calculating reflections and yes, illustrating psychotic pets.Do not build one of these at home... water and electricity together are not your friend.

in Canada there is a cartoon called "My Goldfish is Evil" about a boy and his pet goldfish who is an evil genius bent on world domination.

Thanks! Actually I had never heard of 'My Goldfisish Evil' until I told my friend about my concept sketch. Obviously there must be something inherently nefarious about those little fish!
