Description
Old movie time again.... watched the 1958 'Hercules', starring Mr America, Steve Reeves. Here Hercules is busy on his lesser known 13th labour - taking all the metal spears in the armoury and bending them into funny animal shapes. Apparently he was a hoot at kids parties.
Pencil sketch, colour workΒ in photoshop.

As a fan of the old Peplum films, another great joke art would be to show Hercules sleeping. Steeve, Alan Steel, Reg Park, and other strong guys all took naps or were drugged at one point or another. It was a weird motif.

It's kind of refreshing to see a situation where a lady tries to compete physically, but fails doing so without admitting failure.Β This is a fair and realistic portrayal of gender difference.Β I don't think we see that anymore in today's media where Hollywood is trying to placate a bunch of feminist lobbyists with all these Mary Sue clichΓ©s that really douche it up for everyone except said placated crowd.

I just got pointed to your page by an online friend..Β OH GODS the raging massive amounts of pure, raw, unedited ( and "UN-politically correct" ) humor in your works... *PRICELESS!!*
I see this particular pic and can't help but remember my age and think back to the dawn of the time of television ( ok.. maybe not the dawn "dawn".. more like the " NOON of Television"Β Β )Β with a very old movie that they had to DUB his voice in..
Β *Hercules in New York"Β starting Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.Β en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herculesβ¦

Computer Generated Image uses NO PAINT whatsoever.
I use paint, both watercolor and oils.Β

Awesome as usual. Would love to see the pencil sketch that began this as well as a video of the process of one of your pieces. Are you on YouTube or any other streaming venue?
