Description Day four of my own personal 'How fast is your spaceship?' week of scifi nerdiness. Today, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy...
My favourite book as a kid and I could quote great slabs of it. While the movie was never going to match the book, I still rather enjoyed it and I felt the design work was fantastic.

The Heart of Gold, stolen by Zaphod Beeblebrox (he's just this guy you know) was powered by an Infinite Improbability Drive that, when fully powered, passed through every conceivable point in every conceivable universe simultaneously. This, unfortunately, means that you areΒ "never sure where you'll end up or even what species you'll be when they get there" and "it's therefore important to dress accordingly".

Pencil, ink on paper, Paint in photoshop.

Well, it probably doesn't hurt that the movie adaptation (highly underrated) had some excellent casting.Β  I'm not sure that there could've been better fits for Arthur and Zaphod than Martin Freeman and Sam Rockwell.Β

Ok, either I've spontaneously developed precognition, or you can knock these up pretty damn fast. Were we not just talking about this yesterday?!

You're right about the normality thing though...

You've gone precog! I had pencilled and inked this up before you even mentioned it yesterday.
Maybe you should try the same trick on a lottery ticket
As for normal... whatever it is, its over rated
Cheers!

Normal's a setting on washing machine isn't it? I dunno... haven't seen it in years.

I like those books very much! They are so incredible funny.TheΒ  Infinite Improbability Drive is a very good example for it. I mean, the concept of this drive is so wicked that it's genius! And the books are full of such brilliant ideas and twists. The thing with the towel is another one. Btw, where's Arthurs towel?

Totally agree on the books!
As for Arthurs towel, he put it down to use the Nutri-Matic machine to make his almost, but not quite, entirely unlike cup of Tea.

Never saw the film when it came out, though it did look kind of interesting. Though from the trailer, it seemed interesting. Especially liked the big head robot.

Also, is that the guy from the Hobbit?
